Bodeville is a small team of two developers who wanted to make games that are fun, fair, and might tell a good story. Our founders Alexia Mandeville and Bo Boghosian have years of experience working in the game industry on projects including Pokémon GO, Peridot, and Facebook Horizon.

CEO 1.1 is here! We made a couple updates to improve replayability in addition to bug fixes. Thanks for playing!
- Adds an option to speed up any dialogue that has already been seen on previously played chapters.
- Moves layoffs to end of chapters rather than the beginning of the next chapter.
- Unity update which should fix occasional crashing.
- A tiny bugfix to actually make your Pant job title "CEO" at the end (whoops!)

Cute sim game that falls short on immersion
This game reminds me a lot of the game Tender. I love these kinds of narrative stories told through an every day interface but it’s hard to ever feel immersed in this game because of the fact that you have to do things through chapters. I want to be able to open up the app, respond to someone’s message and the close it.
It also feels very prescriptive that as soon as you respond to someone’s message, you will always receive another message in a different channel. Tender takes things a little slower and makes it more realistic, sometimes you will have conversations that are longer but then sometimes you have to wait a little bit for a response.
I really want to love this game but it feels just a little too rigid/linear for me to feel fully immersed in this world.

chaotic and hilarious peek into tech culture
The plot and ridiculousness of the characters are hilarious but also a perfect satire of a cringey silicon valley tech company! I found myself rolling my eyes and gasping at what was happening on this company slack channel, but then realized how cleverly based on reality it was! Overusing the eggplant emoji is fun as well!
