* WHAT IS CHLOW *
Chlow = Chew + Slow
-> Chlowing = Chewing Slowly



* HOW DO WE USE CHLOW *
Chlow can be used regardless of where / what you are eating and whether you are having a meal alone or with friends.

Using Chlow is simple: Select chew and rest times and start chlowing: Chew when the donut shaped circle is red and rest when it is blue! Your device will ring / vibrate at the end of each chew and rest period. Don't forget to turn alerts on in Chlow's settings (and make sure you phone is not on mute!)

For fast eaters, ease into slow chewing by using the Fast preset (Chew for 20 seconds, rest for 15 seconds). Gradually increase both chewing and resting periods until you can tolerate (and enjoy) chewing for a healthy 50 seconds and resting for 30 seconds. Set custom times to go at your own pace and beyond our Slow preset!

Alternatively, when with a group of people, you can use Chew Mode: Chew away until your device vibrates and tap on the screen whenever you are ready to take another bite. This way you can enjoy your meal while you are socializing. You can also double tap on the screen to reset your Chlowing.

Don't forget to:
- Take small bites of food to begin with. It's easier to chew smaller pieces.
- Chew until it feels like the food has lost its texture.
- Chew slowly and steadily.



* WHY CHLOW *
When was the last time you gave any thought to how long you chewed? Most people chew and swallow their food far too quickly without thinking about how long they chew. The chewing process is the crucial first step of digestion and how long you chew can significantly impact your health. Some of the benefits that chlowing presents are:

Great App for Healthy Eating Habits

Update: I echo the sentiment of a fellow reviewer in that a timer showing the full duration of time eating would be incredibly beneficial, as well as possibly setting an overall consumption time.

I don’t even remember how I came across this app. With school and work, over the years I had lost my slow eating habit as I’ve learned to scarf food for time. And I have a bad habit of eating so fast, that by the time I feel full, I also feel unwell and uncomfortable.

Enter Chlow. I eat slower. I taste more of my food. I don’t feel disgusting after eating, and hopefully with more use, and other healthful habits, I’ll lose some weight again for eating properly like I used to. Thanks, Chlow.

Perfect

This app has helped me learn how to eat slower. Consequently I feel fuller when I truly am full and do not over eat and have lost weight.

The app is really easy to use and understand.

Who knew such a simple thing could have such a huge impact on someone’s life after a month of use!

Very practical

This is so easy to use. You can even customize your chew and rest times. This is such a healthy habit to learn, I have eaten way too fast my whole life and it was really hurting my digestion recently. Thanks for this!
