CHOICES THAT MATTER is a collection of epic text adventure games similar to the classic Choose Your Own Adventure books (CYOA).

New content is written and delivered weekly, making our stories the most complex in the CYOA category. No one player can discover the entire story in a single play through. See how many other players visited the same place as you, each time you conclude a story arc.

Are you ready for the most epic text based game out there?

ADVENTURE 2: And Their Souls Were Eaten

You have a gift. With your gift, the dead are never truly gone.

But what if there is a dark side to your gift? What if there are those who can pervert your talent, and alter the balance of life and death?

Travel across a steampunk 1830s Europe, where metal is magical, giving powers to those who wear it. Learn more about your ancient gift and what it means for you, your family, and humanity. Uncover the nefarious plot to destroy all life... and fight against time to stop your enemy from destroying everything you hold dear.

ADVENTURE 3: And Their Heroes Were Lost

Will you escape? Try to find out who you are? Why did the people who captured you steal your memories—instead of just killing you? Travel the world as you uncover the details of a past that holds many secrets, and a future that is in peril.

This story is ongoing and updated weekly!

"What’s really innovative about Choices...unlike traditional gamebooks that have a definite end, Choices: And the Sun Went Out is a continuing gamebook that will be updated weekly, allowing you to progress through the story over time. As you make choices in your story, it will advance in ways completely differently than other readers when weekly content is added." -

Awesome, but a little creeped out.

This is now my favorite app. I have just finished 'And The Sun Went Out', and I adored (and slightly hated) the ending. Though I could go into much detail and all the things I loved, I shall not spoil the ending for new comers to this lovely game.

Though, I'm a wimp. I get really scared really easily. When I tapped on 'And their Souls were eaten' it said I had to be 13 or older to play this game. I'm 12. I'm slightly scared what I'll encounter when I start this next game when I turn 13. If I get nightmares (which doesn't happen often), I'm deleting the app, but overall, amazing game.

I have a few issues to report. First: Sometimes I press a certain choice, and it does the opposite one. I was in a collapsing building and it gave me the option to save someone or run away. I chose 'Save someone', but it had me run away instead. I do not know if this is the actual consequence that happens, or it is actually a glitch. Second: You have spelled a few things wrong. Minor things, really, but I have noticed you spelled 'please' as 'pleaes' and 'on' as 'en'. Not that big a deal, though.

This game makes the characters come to life. The wording is amazing, the choices are tough (especially in the end), and the whole aspect of the game is incredible.

I am very much excited to be playing 'And Their Souls Were Eaten' and 'And Their Heroes Were Lost'.

Great job, Tin Man Games!!

My favorite CYOA game

This app is just perfect. It encompasses 3 stories right now. I read “and their heroes were lost” first before going back to “and the sun went out.” I love how you get so many choices. Sometimes, you don’t have the information to make an educated choice, and I love that because it’s how the situation would actually be in you were there. The writers really carve out a realistic and believable world for the stories. The music is suspenseful and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I also loved the fact that you can watch a ton of ads to get 3 tickets which is very generous. Although some may say the interface isn’t developed enough as other episodic games, I actually love the simple interface more. It lets you concentrate on the story, the plot, and your imagination rather than cementing how people or situations look. I like a little imaginative space.
Nothing but rave compliments for this app!! Definitely buy if you love CYOA games!

I just finished the story of the Sun going out, and I have to say I teared up a bit at the ending. I’m aware that everyone will have very different experiences pending on their choices, but I throughly enjoyed every choice I took and resisted looking up any walkthroughs or the like, and I suggest anyone who wants to give this a shot to do the same.

The storytelling is absolutely brilliant. I’m a casual writer myself and the twists and turns this story takes you on was enjoyable from the beginning to the end. I absolutely loved it, and I actually really enjoyed the simple interface. I didn’t need to see anyone’s images or faces or scenery because the writing was so good it was unnecessary!

This is MUCH MUCH BETTER than any of the many Choices apps you’ll see, PLEASE give this a shot.
