Great potential, poor implementation

While the Chordana Play for Piano app really does much to facilitate the process of changing settings on my PX-870, and also provides the ability to save four configurations and load them from the app, I find it overwhelmingly frustrating in other areas: 1) It provides the ability to play pieces with an orchestra, but the scores for those pieces are nowhere to be found; 2) The learning section provides quite a variety of pieces to learn, with most of them being Classical. The trouble here is that they don’t provide the notation for them, but use only a coloured piano roll with an onscreen keyboard to show what notes are being played. They really got this backwards, as this app’s content is predominately Classical, yet they provide only a piano roll; whereas, in their first Chordana app, which had very few Classical pieces, and was primarily nursery rhymes and pop, they provided the choice of a piano roll, regular notation, or both. Why, with a product geared towards serious players, would they limit the teaching section to something that serious players don’t use! 4) There is no mention anywhere in the manual or videos to explain how to import PDF files into the app. After asking on a Facebook group, someone advised me how to do it, which I had already tried on my own, but it doesn’t work on either my iPad or iPhone. I really like my PX-870, but this app is very disappointing.

This doesn’t make sense

I’m trying to connect my keyboard to this app and I can’t figure out how it works. Do I have to plug something in? Or is it Bluetooth, because my keyboard doesn’t have Bluetooth so how can I use my iPad for the piano remote controls part it tells me “ this function requires a connection to a compatible digital piano. Please help me.

does not connect- YES IT DOES!

There are a lot of reviews written about the app not connecting to the keyboard, or not recognizing it.
This is because a lot of users use the wrong usb port. They plug it into the port that looks like a usb 2 charging port. This is actually the port where Casio wants you to plug in a hard drive. The other usb port that is more square is the one for connecting your iPad to.

So it's not an app problem folks!
