Attention awesome parents! Use this cool tool to assign and track your children's household chores and projects. When kids get paid, distribute their earnings to SPEND, SAVE, and GIVE categories. Chores can even be set to "stealable" so that the first child to check it off earns the credit. Members get Chore Check Pay (for $9/month) and even more cool features! Parents can order a Chore Check Prepaid Mastercard® for each child (up to 3 per family) - the Chore Check Card is a reloadable prepaid debit card for kids to use. It's super convenient and a great tool for teaching kids to manage the money they've earned. Pay your child for a job well done and give them the instant reward of adding to their Chore Check Card balance.

Great concept, but buggy

Love the idea but there's quite a few bugs that keep it from being efficient. Some elements visually disappear or tabs freeze up until restarting the app. Under the chore status tab, it shows that random chores have been completed on random days (when I haven't confirmed/approved any chores) and no way to change that (the check box doesn't check and uncheck). I'd like to see a "chore type" option that is more evergreen/anytime and not specifically time-stamped, for bonus money-making chores like "wash the car". I'd also like to see a "punishment" option that could deduct money (rather than simply not getting paid) for skipping important chores like "feed the dog". Please keep making updates, this has potential to be a great app!

Not user friendly

It’s difficult to use. Setting up chores requires you to use a pop up feature that doesn’t scroll down well. Then there’s stealable chores. My kids don’t know they’re stealable so they don’t look at them as time sensitive. If a chore expires then it disappears. This means if I reward them for doing the dishes and the kids don’t see the bonus money, it disappears. If you want to edit a chore and change it from one kid to the other it doesn’t take. So instead of being able to switch kids, I have to completely redo the entry from scratch. If the kids forget to mark a chore as completed, it disappears so I have to manually go in and add something for them to get paid. The money system in the piggy bank isn’t user friendly. I’m still figuring that out. It’s more hassle than other apps. Our chores and allowance system has declined since starting on this app.

Best app for chores/allowance

So, it's a paradigm shift for chores management. The whole family has to jump in. But, once everyone is on board... There's no going back. Chore Check is great for establishing a clear system. The work gets done and I feel confident that my kids are actually earning their allowance. If they want some new thing (like concert tickets), great...earn it. Plus, I can track their card use so they don't get into trouble. Great app for our family.
