New app icon. The previous icon is still available in Settings. A refreshed Chroma Pass design. Small fixes and improvements.

Made for iPhone Duo's book pose. Settings keeps its menu on the left page and each page whole on the right, and Subtitle Style puts its preview on one page and its options on the other. Subtitle Style in landscape shows its preview beside the options. Also: Chroma Guide now lives under Help in Settings, and small fixes and improvements.

Find the intro. If you own the Plex server, ask it to detect a title's intro and end credits from the Manage menu, so Skip Intro and Skip Credits appear. More Info now shows which skip buttons a title has. Also: the artwork picker shows the art in use first, and small fixes and improvements.

Plays on slow connections. On weak Wi-Fi, like on a plane, a video now starts at a quality the connection can carry instead of refusing to play. Manage your Plex server. If you own the server, fix a wrong match, choose or upload a poster, background, square art, or logo, refresh metadata, and analyze files, all from a title's page. Also: films with unusual trailer details open again, and small fixes and improvements.

Make Home yours. Choose which rows appear and drag them into the order you like with Edit Home, in Home's display menu. Your Home follows you to your other devices through iCloud. Plex collections. Every Plex server with collections now has a Collections page, smart collections included, and any collection can go on Home. Collections promoted to Home in Plex, by hand or with Kometa or Agregarr, show up there on their own. Also: browsing a Plex library by folder works again, and your watchlist appears on Home as soon as it loads.

Ready for iPhone Duo. Chroma adapts to the cover screen and the open display in either orientation. Set it in laptop pose and the picture moves to the top half, with the controls below under a soft glow of the film. In book pose, the controls sit on the right-hand page. Downloads pick up where they stopped after a dropped connection or a relaunch, instead of starting over, and an interrupted download no longer shows up twice. Your library, all of it. Libraries now page through every title (no more stopping at 200), and you can filter by quality. Genre pages now include matching titles from your other servers, too. Blu-ray disc images. Open a decrypted .iso in Local Videos and Chroma plays the main feature. Also: Chroma Pass is recognized when you're offline, local playback explains when a VPN is in the way, and Jellyfin and Emby Dolby Vision titles are recognized correctly.

Smoother playback and a fresh look. • Wait for Full Quality, in Settings: if you'd rather wait out a slow connection than watch a softer picture, Chroma will never lower the quality on its own. • Fixed brief stutters that could appear every few seconds during some films. • When your server converts a film, the Quality menu shows what it's really sending, like "1080p HEVC HDR10 · 6.4 Mbps", and the checkmark follows it. • Six app icons to choose from in Settings. • Title pages fill the screen on iPad, with a better landscape layout. • Switch subtitles without restarting the film, and your subtitle choice carries over to the next episode. • Tap a name under Starring or Director to see their other work. Person pages now show titles from all your servers. • Home has a menu to show every row as posters, artwork, or the automatic mix. • Server owners can scan their libraries for new titles right from Home. • If your server can't read a file, Chroma tells you on the title's page instead of failing to play. • Chroma now speaks French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, and Hindi. • The Chroma Guide in Settings › About walks through every feature. • Redeem an offer code next to Restore Purchases. • Easier Plex Home PIN entry on iPad.

Pages open instantly. • Titles, libraries and Home appear the moment you open them, even right after launching, then quietly refresh. Show pages arrive in one piece instead of shifting as they load. • When a server can't be reached, Chroma says so straight away and reconnects on its own when it's back. • Widgets: pick whether tapping a poster opens the title's page or starts playing, separately for each widget. A film you have in both HD and 4K now shows once. • Search shows only the libraries you've turned on, and a film in two libraries appears once, with its versions in the card's menu. • Fixed search showing one server's results under another server's name. • The download button reacts the moment you tap it, and tells you why when a server doesn't allow downloads. • Closing a video fades out smoothly. • A little celebration when your Chroma Pass purchase or restore goes through. • Fixed a crash when removing a download.

Better downloads and a smoother Up Next. • Download a season — all of it, just what you haven't watched, or the episodes you pick — from the season's download menu. The download button shows its progress as it goes. • Downloads has a cleaner layout, with one Edit button to select and remove, and your storage shown along the bottom. • Up Next gives you 30 seconds to decide: tap the picture to decline, or dismiss the card and let the credits roll. • A show opens on the season you're watching. • Image-based subtitles are converted to text by default, so they follow your subtitle style. Also: • Fixed an episode being skipped when the next one played automatically. • Fixed opening a title right after launch sometimes dropping you back on Home. • Taking a title off your Watchlist removes it from every row straight away.
