Updated review from “Why pay for an app that doesn’t wor”k?

Updated review based solely on customer service:

Although i unfortunately was still not able to use the app because i can’t get my account verified, i do appreciate the help i received to remedy this situation. Eric of Circle For Roommates promptly responded to my email and sent me my refund. I still haven’t been able to get my account verified, but i have hope that the developers behind this app and with the customer service rep (or maybe they’re one and the same?) receiving and responding to the reviews, improvements will be made.

Previous review:
“I paid $4.99 to get my account verified, and all the app does is begin repeatedly opening up the Pay Now option, even when the app is closed, until i delete app entirely (which is a huge struggle in and of itself, since the Pay Now pop-up makes it impossible to even hold down the app icon for longer than half a second. It charged my bank account and I can’t even use the app. Waste of money.”

It's a pretty app, fancied after Tinder, however in my search to fill an open room I found this app the least useful. First, no map, (says coming soon). Second, it shows people across the entire LA / OC region which is HUGE! Someone working in Irvine shouldn't be in the same list as someone from Santa Monica or Glendale. Those aren't even remotely close. You're supposed to "circle" potential matches, and like Tinder, when they circle you back it's a match. There were very few people visible and I tried circling anyone who seemed like a possible fit but never got a match. The app would tell me that someone circled me, but wouldn't tell me who so I guess I was expected to guess who that might be and hope to circle them too? For comparison, I posted on SpareRoom and got a reply within 30 mins and had a signed sublease that evening. This is a pretty app, but the platform isn't ready for primetime.

Amazing customer service!

I downloaded several roommate searching apps 2 months ago and this is the only one where I didn't get messages from creepy people. There was no problem with the app but I was a little confused about the verification process. I sent them a message asking for help and they responded really promptly! I'm super impressed! Now that I found a roommate on this app I might delete it soon but I still highly recommend this to anyone looking for roommates!! 5 stars definitely
