It’s 2025. Cirrus should expect more

As someone who truly values the innovation Cirrus brings to aviation, I’m consistently disappointed by their digital offerings. In 2025, when seamless, intuitive digital experiences and apps are a commodity and the norm, Cirrus’ feels outdated, clunky, buggy and lacking in usability.

The entire digital experience, seems more focused on maintaining brand aesthetics than delivering practical, reliable features. not what you expect from a brand synonymous with cutting-edge aviation.

Noone assumes or expects Cirrus to be building these digital experiences in house. There are countless vendors who could deliver a superior user experience, yet Cirrus appears to be settling for subpar solutions and partners. Whoever is responsible for choosing and managing these tech partnerships is missing the mark.

Cirrus leads the way in aircraft innovation, but their digital tech desperately needs to catch up. I hope they take a more strategic approach to their digital platforms and prioritize usability over aesthetics moving forward.

A couple things

I’m sure there is a plethora of areas you programmers are asked to work on.
The inspections page is useful but please remove the 25 hour inspection. It is used ONCE during break in. It does not need a reminder.
I don’t know how to program, but I do know that when an app update is done, I find it annoying to look up my log in info.
If there is a plan to somehow monetize this app in the future, please limit it to the utilization area where the people who need shiny things to look at are willing to pay.

No longer syncs

The old app was clunky but worked. The new app looks nicer and has a few more features. But you can no longer delete an inspection reminder (come on, it’s just an editing function like you had in the previous version). And most importantly, I can no longer access real time data on the plane remotely. The sync function doesn’t work.
