I do not recommend this app or this service. This app is poorly designed with little to no thought put into UI. At best I would call this a mock up of an app that I would show to a potential client. It is no where near ready for shipping. Maps are slow and poorly integrated, consistently crashes app. When getting to certain menus through tabs elements are missing. Title bars not present, but rest of app acts like its still present. Very limited information, mostly just the same few bits of information recycled. Contact page doesn't work properly, you can't tap to email or call. All info is just walls of text lifted from website, not even properly formatted to fit the app. This app was not coded by someone that really knows what they are doing. And with the map crashes it really is unusable. Use at your own risk.On a side note, I would not use this company in Long Beach, NY. I do not know how they operate in Miami but in NY they do not have their act together. I was unable to rent a bike, but they seemed more than able to charge my credit card. Night time customer service can not do anything but be rude and hang up on you. It seems that they are unable to unlock the bikes consistently, maybe a problem with new hard ware. They are not ready for prime time and should not have launched. Also when opening a new location they should have had capable customer service 24 hours for at least the first week.To sum up, this app and this service (Long Beach, NY branch) are not ready and should be avoided. Maybe in the future they will hire a real developer for their app and get all the bugs worked out, but until such time I can only say STAY AWAY!!!!
I had no issues with the app or bike , it was 8$ for 1 hour. The process was simple. The only real issue would be that I could not use the same Card for 2 bikes, other than that everything went fine. I think these 17 reviews were just the people that had bad experiences and the rest that had no issues just don’t bother reviewing because why? feel bad for the app lol
95% of screens in this app fail on server errors after about a 15-second timeout. I paid for a monthly subscription I can’t even use because requests to release bikes consistently fail on server errors. Sometimes the network randomly succeed- again about 5% of the time- and by the time you can release a bike, you’ll have been standing there waiting for flaky network requests along the way for at least 5-10 minutes. In the rare moments when the app physically works, the UI is slow and confusing. The user and bike station pins look nearly identical, making it visually impossible to tell which station is closest to you.Apple, PLEASE yank this thing!!
I’ve done ride shares all over the US and abroad, but Miami sadly has messed it up. The app crashes all the time. When you turn in a bike, it often doesn’t register for hours, meaning you have to pay extra for a bike you’re not using *and* you can’t take out another one. The app’s stations aren’t accurately described online so sometimes they are hard to find, like Marlins park. Customer service access is very limited. You don’t know how long your bike has been out since there is no timer like with other Citi bikes systems. What seemed like a fun and cheap way to get around the city just turned out to be a big headache.
Rented bikes today in Miami South Beach. I was having trouble with my bike after I downloaded the app and put in my credit card information. I couldn’t get the bike out of the holder. The app is giving me an error message. It happened like two or three times. So then my boyfriend used his credit card and got the bike and was able to pull it out for me. But they are charged me on my credit card as if I used it. All of this happened in the course of five minutes. It would be virtually impossible for me to have use that bike for two hours and then the same bike at the same time charge on my boyfriends cardI sent them two emails and no response
It’s almost 2020 and this app works like it was created in 2010! When I want to see the number of bikes or docks for a certain station, pressing on the location flag brings it up for a second then it goes away. It’s like playing whack-a-mole trying to get information. Today for the first time I looked to see available bikes and the screen is blank. There’s nothing. The app is useless. You can’t use it to sign up for a monthly subscription or to check out a bike. There’s no point to this app. Luckily I found another citibike miami app that, from what I can tell, works perfectly! I’m deleting this one because clearly no one is maintaining it.
