After you visit a place, we ask you share your Point of View on City Walker - good or bad. You’re point of view is not only improves the profile for the business and passes down local knowledge, it directly affects the search rank of that business.
Unlike other travel app a business can’t pay to promote themselves in our ranked metric results. We don’t care how much money a business has, we care that people have a great experience. The community is the business's marketing team and it’s this approach that levels the playing field for local business. On City Walker it doesn’t matter how much money you have for advertising, what matters is that your customers are passionate and share experiences about you.
Our goal is simple: live local.

It’s like your staying with a friend in the city
I’m from Alabama and I came across this app planning my trip to D.C. recently. I went to D.C. as a kid so I didn’t remember much. I wanted to see the usual things (i.e. the Mall, White House, museums, etc) but I didn’t know the best places to grab drinks or food. This app allowed instant access to the places right by me and showed me how to get there. I would have never found some of the places I went without this app. Thanks very much CityWalker
Great Idea, Horrible Execution
Saw this app and thought it would be great as I travel a lot and love exploring the cities I’m in. Downloaded and looked at some of the “walks” near me - what a disappointment. Obviously all of their “destinations” rely on some sort of advertising kickback. I live in Alexandria, VA. I am SURROUNDED by historic monuments and museums within a short walk. Pulled up the “Culture” tab and was directed to an art frame shop or a nail salon (?!). There are two wonderful, independent coffee shops within 10 minutes of me. Neither shows up on the “Grab a Coffee” tab. Instead, I get a couple of Dunkin Donuts, a Panera Bread and, for some reason, a Cold Stone Creamery. (Interestingly, as long as we’re obviously supporting chain stores here, none of the numerous Starbucks or 7-11’s near me are listed). Will be deleting this app after posting this review. Hopefully someday someone will deliver an app that actually does what this one claims to do.
Developer Response ,
City Walker relies on a community of locals to populate our results. Looks like you are somewhere that needs curation, you can start us off!
Promising local guide
I have used many local guides before , most of them are required me to pay a lot of money for upgrading to premium acccount if I want to use all the features . What a ridiculous thing? I'm totally satisfied with the ads . This app is great!
