StageMix is an application for the Apple iPad that provides remote control of Yamaha CL digital mixing console functions via a simple, intuitive graphical interface from anywhere within wireless range. The software has been specifically designed to allow engineers to adjust monitor mixes from the performers’ positions on stage, directly controlling mix parameters via the iPad rather than having to rely on verbal directions to a second engineer. The result is better mixes in less time; a huge advantage during high-pressure pre-show setup. Although StageMix is focused on the requirements for adjusting monitor mixes on stage, its range of features is continually expanding, allowing it to be used for a wider variety of remote control functions.

Bug Fix: Tabs at the bottom of the RACK screen were incorrectly displayed.
Bug Fix: HPF handle was incorrectly displayed as LP in the output EQ window.
Bug Fix: “Send Main” assignment in custom fader layers was incorrectly displayed as ‘SEL CH’.
Bug Fix: The background color of the Input/Output Port Patch view and the DCA assignment view was incorrect.

Great app!

This app is great in so many ways! It would be great to add a control page for the USB drive to remotely control playback from this when needed...

Unimpressive

Way too much button pressing to get anything done quickly. And, time is of the essence when mixing monitors. For example, I cannot change the mix I’m working on without two button presses. Why is there not just a row of buttons for all the mixes. Even Behringer gets it right.

In addition, there are too many things this app will not do, which forces a return to the console to make changes and then back up to the stage. It is a lot of unnecessary work.

EXTREMELY unreliable

I've been using this app since day 1 with different firmware & different iPad models in different WiFi environment with same poor results. Disconnects every 5 to 10 minutes & takes long time to reconnect. Yamaha is unable to deliver a reliable product yet the cost is extremely high compared to other digital consoles that I have.
