Operational, But Still Needs Work
I was hesitant to buy a Mia Smart because of all of the negative reviews I read about this app. Unlike other reviewers, I had no issues registering or pairing my Mia. The app itself has never crashed or given me issues. However it currently has some limited functionality. A lot of the smart modes seem really similar. I like the streak feature and the uses feature. I just wish there was some sort of calendar view so you could see which days you used it and how many times on each day. I hope that’s a feature that rolls out soon. I got a really great deal on my Mia Smart (about 40% off) so it was a no brainer for me, but I would not recommend buying a Mia Smart given the current features in the app.

I had the same issues with the app crashing after the update. I emailed customer support and never received a response. After deleting the app and downloading it again, the app showed someone else’s profile-someone else’s pictures, someone else’s attachments, etc. Since I never received a response from customer support when I emailed in, I called. They had a very stock response of, “delete the app and download it again.” I explained that I did that already. They told me to set up a new profile. I explained that I could not do this, since you need an email address to set up a profile. My email address is already in use. The customer service rep said, “Don’t you have another email address that you can use?” I do but NOT the point. Extremely unhelpful! So, sorry to whomever out there that has had their pic, attachments, and routines deleted but Clarisonic could not help sort out the issues with their ridiculous app. Would not recommend the product to anyone because of the app.

Needs ALOT of work to be useful
The main problem is that it does not display how much battery life is left. It just stays at 100% all the time until it dies. I just figured out a hack: go to change settings and immediately come back, it will then show the correct battery level. The routines need to be more varied and the tutorials need to be more precise. There should also be a manual attached for FAQs and operational steps. The app loading of receipts allows you to take a picture of your receipts to get points except that I have always gotten a “cannot read” email after I’ve uploaded. I bought the items from Clarisonic, so why can’t I just type in the order number?
There could be so much more that could be done with this app. Right now it’s not even good for battery life. Too bad.
