Description

You know how sometimes you just want to quickly see a calendar? Like you want to know, "Does the 22nd fall on a Tuesday or a Wednesday?" Or, "Do I have any more appointments today?"

So then you launch the macOS Calendar, and it opens after a few seconds, and then you see that the 22nd falls on a Friday and you were way off.

And then you get back to whatever you were doing and that calendar app that you opened just to check on a date real-quick-like... well it just sits there on your screen taking up your screen (and mental) space until eventually you close it.

Well anyway, you should just use Clean Calendar. It sits in your menu bar and it just simply shows you a nice little calendar with a quick peak at your appointments when you click on the icon (or use the global keyboard shortcut!). When you are done it gets out of the way. It's really simple and clean and that's what makes it useful. So download this thing and start using it.

Thanks!

What’s New

Version 2.7

v2.7 adds the ability to hide certain calendars. Just head to settings and uncheck any calendars for which you don't want to see appointments.

v2.6 adds the ability to navigate the appointment calendar with keyboard arrow keys. You can go to prev/next month with Fn+Left/Fn+Right (aka Home/End) keys. As always ctrl+cmd+alt+c opens/closes Clean Calendar.

v2.5 fixes a bug where the current day was sometimes not updating when using the non-appointment month view.

v2.4 adds an option in the settings page to launch the app at login so you don't have to remember to launch it yourself... brilliant!

v2 is out and now you can view your appointments in Clean Calendar! Any calendars that are in macOS' Calendar.app will show up in Clean Calendar (once you give permission).

Elegantly simple (mostly)

I used to keep a ever-present, small calendar on all desktops. I sometimes had to move windows out of the way to see it, but at least it was small, so unintrusive.

This is an even better solution. Easily see the calendar via the menu bar.

I put the Washington Caps schedule into MacOS Calendar, and this app is showing that schedule... excellent!

Wish I could double-click a date and enter an appointment... currently have to do that through MacOS Calendar.

Simply great

When I need to know a date I hesitate to open Calendar - it takes time, close the window the app stays open, etc. So yesterday I finally looked in the App Store for a “clean calendar” and found one - Clean Calendar. It resides in my top bar and can show as many of my personal calendars as I like or don’t wish to see. Its one draw back is its colors which are not adjustable - blue on black with white lettering for appointments, shades of Windows 2D. I wrote the developer and if he gets enough input he will program the colors more. Love the app, but nostalgia in color, not so much. Still it is a five-star app.

Simple, Excellent

Best little utility to quickly check a date. Big and easy to read numbers and intuitive interface.
