There are many apps on the market that require you to pay a fee for so-called premium features that this app provides for free. And this app provides these features in an easy simple interface and it does it extremely well. I had purchased a similar app that had a one time fee and Ike cannot get the app to even load my contacts. I spent hours fretting over what I was doing wrong. I tried to get my money back but somehow the payment was still pending so I could not cancel. There was no customer support as there was some error on the customer support page. It recognize that I had multiple accounts but again I couldn’t see any contacts. So I was extremely hesitant and reticent when I downloaded this app for no cost. I was truly not expecting much. However within less than 20 seconds it had recognize all seven of my contact accounts and I downloaded all of my contacts and was ready to merge. it had every feature all of the other paid apps made you pay premium for. It did take a while for the merge to occur because I had so many duplicates but it was well worth the wait. I can’t recommend this app highly enough. Why pay any company for service when this app provides it in a simple easy to use and powerful interface for free.

I downloaded this app on a whim because I had way too many contacts. One of the suggestions in the App Store search bar was for contact cleaner, so I clicked it. This was the only app without an in app purchase, so I gave it a download. I expected that my Contacts would receive a ton of spam phone calls as they have to make their money somehow, so I thought they would sell the information.After I’ve used it for a little over a week, there have been no spam phone calls and my contact list has been cut in half. As a blind person, I greatly enjoy business look up because I can’t see contact photos so the description really helps when figuring out who people are. I would definitely recommend giving this app a download, and if you really hate it just delete it. It’s free!

The app works well the first time it scans your contacts — especially if you have a relatively large database and have not used any similar product previously. It catches most everything and makes it relatively easy to clean up duplicates, delete useless records, etc. That said, I have two major pet peeves. First, the app counts any record that has the same phone number as another record as a duplicate record. The suggested solution— to combine the two records into one or delete one of the records — is not helpful. In most cases, it’s a situation where a couple shares a phone number so it’s in each of their records. I want to keep both records as they are. I don’t see an option to do that so the same records keep showing up as duplicates, and keep wanting me to choose between merge or delete. I think there is something I’m missing because there just has to be a way to deal with this issue in the app. But I can’t find it and, my second pet peeve, Support has never responded to either of my requests for help with this issue. So there may be an easy way to deal with it in the app, but if there is, Support is not interested in sharing that information with me.

This app seemed great. Except when I merged the duplicate contacts it does not keep all the fields- I know for sure that the “Notes” section gets deleted, and there could be other fields as well who knows. The Notes section gets deleted even if both contacts had notes. So it seems that the app is creating a new contact instead of keeping the most complete contact and updating it with info that does not match from the other contact being deleted- which would be a much better approach and help to reduce this problem. I write important notes in the contact field so this is really bad, I would rather have duplicate contacts than lose important info. Also, before it merges the app backs up your contacts. And there is a section in the app that allows you to Restore from this backup. BUT the back ups do NOT have the Notes section either so the back up for this issue is useless and gives you a false sense of comfort to do the merge. If you had this same problem and sync to Exchange then go to your Deleted Items (or Online your Deleted Contacts) and restore from there. Took a lot of wasted time but I got my contacts back, but with more duplicates now!
