  • Incredible tool - Macsoft has been around for awhile too

    SmartAdvisorsAZ

I’ve seen/used Macsoft told for years since the OG apple days. Because of this tool, I was able to take my 40k photos size down from 150 gigs to 80 gigs with removing duplicates AND removing the Live Photo feature that uses so much memory. I’m now able to pay Apple 2.99 a month instead of 9.99 which is a huge savings for me as I dislike paying for any subscriptions. Thank you Macsoft for creating yet another incredibly useful tool. You’ve saved me!

  • Best app for cleaning

    Sunnytakesover

I’ve been using Mac paw products for years and I love that they now have a phone app. I have cleared out so much unnecessary stuff from my phone and it feels much more organized and runs way faster. I’ve tried 1 million different cleanup apps, and they were completely useless. This one functions very similar to CleanMyMac which I have used for like 10 years. This is super worth it compared to all the other phone cleaning apps.

  • easy, affordable, efficient

I ran out of storage space on my older iphone and couldn’t even receive messages properly. I downloaded this app and it has really been a Godsend. the platform is so easy to use and works incredibly well. for the low price, you really can’t beat it. best storage space cleaner i’ve found so far!

  • So easy to use!

Even if you think you need all the photos on your phone, check this out. You can compress videos, turn Live Photos into still images, and delete photos by category using swipe mode. Do you really need 13 photos of the dinner you had on vacation last year? No, you don’t. Use this app and save yourself gigs of space. My only reason for dropping a star, is that occasionally it crashes mud swiping, rare but it happens. Also, I was hoping to find an app to delete some of the “system data” on my phone and this is not that.

  • Why ?

    Pumpkingyrll

Why i gave it 2 stars because this supposed to clean up your phone especially in your camera. That’s why I got it it kept saying compressed by they I came to believe they were putting it in a smaller folder. Not erased all my photos and videos IM SO annoyed and angry right. I didn’t even check my phone book i can just imagine the mess there I used the other cleanup with the broom. It took majority of my phone numbers out not messing with these so call clean up your phone.

  • Nice idea but really disappointed in functionality.

    DIY'r52

When I first purchased a subscription, I was hoping for similar functionality as the “CleanMyMac” app installed on my MacBook Air but soon realized this wasn’t the case. Even its scanning for duplicate photos failed but I suppose finding duplicates in shared collections is beyond its scope of function. The other feature I was uneasy with was when it scanned my contacts and offered to merge some of them when they shared common data points. For example, I have an ENT specialist that has the same address (the local hospital) as the Wound Care Clinic I occasionally visit. They obviously have different names and phone numbers but the app offered to merge them into one contact. This is unacceptable. The app also doesn’t really offer to clean out system junk either. I realize iOS & MacOS are entirely different in the way they handle storage on their respective platforms but I was still disappointed that this app doesn’t address the gigabytes of junk that is present in system data storage.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us — we truly appreciate the detailed feedback, and we’re sorry to hear that the app didn’t meet your expectations.CleanMy®Phone is designed specifically for iOS, which has very different limitations compared to macOS. Because of Apple’s restrictions, the app cannot access or clean system-level data, system junk, or cached files the way CleanMyMac does. We understand this can feel disappointing, especially if you’re familiar with the Mac version.Regarding duplicate photos: shared albums, shared libraries, and certain iCloud-managed photos aren’t fully accessible to third-party apps on iOS, which can affect duplicate detection. We are continuously improving our algorithms within the limits allowed by Apple. As for contact suggestions — thank you for pointing this out. CleanMy®Phone analyzes data patterns, but it should never imply merging contacts that clearly represent different people or organizations. We’re reviewing this behavior to improve accuracy and make these suggestions more reliable.Your feedback helps us move in the right direction. We’re actively exploring what additional functionality we can bring to iOS in the future while staying compliant with Apple’s privacy and system restrictions. If you have any other questions or would like us to look deeper into your case, feel free to reach out to us at support@macpaw.com — we’re here to help.
