Cleanup: Phone Storage Cleaner
Ratings & Reviews
I’ve had it for like five minutes. It does exactly what the adds say, you can delete spam emails, you can delete all your duplicate photos, it even groups similar looking photos (yk, very similar) and chooses the best one, and the other one(s) go to trash by default, but you can scroll down and select and deselect as many as you want. It has a 3 day free trial, I’m almost done managing everything btw. It’s really helping me so far. Also, it tells you instructions very clearly no random pop ups reasonable asks for adds (yes you can basically choose if you want to watch an add, when deleting photos. It’s like no add delete five of the ones you selected and with add 25 of the ones you selected, but it keeps giving you the option until you’ve deleted all the ones you selected)It’s also extremely NOT sketchy. I don’t know how to explain it. You don’t have to sign in really either. Just get the app select the free trial, it obviously gives you the option to read terms of use (policy?)When it asked if I wanted to allow full access selected access etc. of my camera roll I recall it clearly said it would not be on any of their servers or shown to third parties, something along those lines. Maybe I’m just too nice but I like this app.
I’ve personally never used an app to clean out my phone before this one, but for the first one I’ve ever tried and let alone paid for, it’s not bad, it pretty much does what it needs/ says it’s gonna do, and it has actually saved me a lot of time deleting photos and videos, because I’ve built up about 30,000 js on one iPhone (ik… working on stopping the habit of screenshotting 😭). So, I mean the only tweak are some bugs or mistakes it makes when it comes to “similar photos” where sometimes they won’t be related whatsoever, but yeah I mean no major complaints so far yk, and also thank you so much for this app, I usually wouldn’t even be able to think of cleaning out my phone without having a mini anxiety attack bc of how overwhelming it feels, so thank you, and I hope you continue to help others the way it did for me! :)
This app cleaned my storage pretty well. As an animator, artist, and someone with OCD I would take a ton of photos and needless screenshots. It got to the point that I would open the phone, neck the time, and just screenshot my wall paper hundreds of times over. It was really bad so of course my photos were nearing 200,000 photos, this on top of the fact I would have dozens of art projects worth 89 gigabytes. I have seen first hand what happens when you let your device have more storage than it can handle, it completely turns on you and it’s kind of scary. I’ve recently taken charge to overcome my weird habit and tried to delete many of the photos. Issue is it would take a lot of courage to delete them as I would beg my sister to do it for me, which would annoy her. This app makes it easier for me to delete photos. The only issue is that it constantly crashes but I think that has more to do with the fact that I have so many photos to delete rather than the app being bad, I’m sure if you’re a normal person with just a tad too many photos this works perfectly for you but for me I may have pushed the app’s limits, lol
I really love the app for its purpose and functionality but it’s SO frustrating when I’ve spent 15 mins clearing through stuff and it crashes so i have to start all over. I’ve resorted to rushing and getting as many as I can done quickly and then deleting more often but it really is SUCH a pain that it does this! It seems to happen consistently if I open a photo or contact to review it closely and then when I go back to keep going through the next in the list it crashes. It does happen during other random times as well, though. I’ve been paying for the app for months and not taken the time to use it because each time I do, this happens and it makes it that much more time consuming so now I’m just trying to do 4 or 5 at a time and then hit delete. Definitely not worth the cost when it’s continuing to do this so I’ll be deleting if it doesn’t get resolved. I’d keep it and use it regularly if it wasn’t for this, but an app (especially for this purpose) is useless if it constantly crashes in the middle of trying to do tasks in bulk.
I have only tried a few of this sort of app and they have been a could take it or leave it, non-game changer experience for me. This is my first time downloading one on iPhone. Good rating with lots of downloads. My picture library has become overwhelming so I decided to give it a try. Used it 2 days ago and didn't check my library at the time. I just checked it and all the photos I know I deleted were still there. There shows an update for the app today but that doesn't explain 2 days ago when I downloaded and used it to delete these photos. Proper permissions granted. I'm not logged fully into iCloud. Just the App Store and media apps. But that shouldn't matter either. So I don't know if there is something I'm missing (and I haven't ruled that out completely) but the main purpose of this app is to clean you photo library and contacts and email. So one of its primary functions and reason for download does not work as promised. If there is something I may be missing here developers, please let me know. I wanted it to and expected it to work. Disappointed and deleting. Oh and canceling subscription.
Input hard to app be said I had ro free some space for the latest update. ‘Similar’ documents are not similar at all they are different pages of a document and the app wants to delete 12 of the 13 pages. I have to go through and decide which ones to keep as the cleaner has ‘chosen’ many to delete saying they are duplicates. Most of them are not. Same clothing different poses and smiles and drinks, etc. also, I just spent 43 minutes going through the 826 photos the program said were duplicates. As I got half way through-the program went black and it took me BACK to the beginning where it said ‘let’s go’. This has happened 4x! There are several flaws with this app. BE CAREFUL not to allow this app to delete your photos before you painstakingly review them. In another section, the app wanted to delete 8967 photos they said were duplicates. (I have 80k+ photos). As I started looking through this section, I discovered the same flawed algorithm. Thought this was going to be easy but it is too much work. The app is not sophisticated enough to ascertain if documents and photos truly are duplicates. Once deleted they are GONE. No Mulligans allowed.
Am I the only one who is tired of seeing ads targeting “old people” who don’t know how to use technology? It’s 2026. Give it a rest! Many recent reviews have stated that after the initial trial period, the creator is going to charge $8 a week. WHAT???!!! Besides, If it’s truly an app that helps eliminate duplicate photos, why would I need to pay a small ransom to continue to use it? The duplicates should be eliminated during the first week or so of use; certainly within a month. Why not just be honest up front? Any reasonable person understands that nothing is truly free. I have no problem paying them for their work and maintenance of the app but $8 is excessive by any standards for what we’re paying them to do. They must be hoping that we’ll install it and forget about it. I haven’t seen anyone respond to any of the users’ comments or complaints about this app which is a red flag that tells me that they are not monitoring customers concerns and there’s no access to the creators once you install it. I’ll continue to look for alternatives and meanwhile go through the daunting task of doing it myself.
I didn’t mean to purchase this (free trial, and I messed up and forgot), but have been trying to make the best of it. If you want an app exclusively to assist you find duplicate and similar photos, have at it! It should be named something reflective of that. I desperately need extra room on my phone since my iPad breaking, and I just don’t understand why apps like these are not like, say, “clean my Mac X,” in which I had the option to immediately send all my photos and music, etc, to the cloud (idk why we can’t manually do this anyway, but THATS a useful feature)! As to freeing up space w this app, idk which photos and videos are in the cloud, and thus not actually taking up the space the app claims they do (I have plenty of cloud storage!), and which are actually taking up space on the phone. So I can spend an hour or two looking through these duplicates, deleting some/all: super. I still don’t have room on my phone! It’s exclusively for photos; it does not “clean up “ old or unnecessary files, songs, apps; it, again, won’t send anything to the cloud for you. It’s a duplicate photo finder. Great. I don’t need that now and *would not* have paid 30 dollars for this! Ironically, it takes a lot for me to make room on my phone to even have this app! What a mistake… I don’t have the kind of time to even use it to go through these similar photos and large videos in light of the fact that I know it’s not going to make much room on my phone! Ugh, and I’m so broke right now. If you actually need to “clean up” and/or make room on your phone, don’t make my mistake, keep searching! If you want an app to deal with photos (and *possibly consulate some contacts, haven’t used that one and only other feature yet), then this IS a good enough app for that, so far as I can tell.
I hate apps like this, they are scam artists! I saw it & said it was free! I wanted to try it. I thought that it might be helpful! I was so wrong! I tried this app once when I first saw it! It didn’t work the way it said it was supposed to either! It did exactly nothing, 100% Zero! I am aware some of companies as yours say FREE & then start charging. I do not play that! I started being charged without my knowledge until I got my statement. NOWHERE did I see a charge nor did I put in a credit card either! I am so upset over this! Then this company actually has the gall to refuse my dispute! That is so BAD! I hoped that this would have been beneficial to me, but it was not in the least! Plus, pay every week for it? No I would not have even ever done that IF I HAD KNOWN ! Shame on this company, I will definitely be blabbing all over Social Media about how this company scammed me! I have called our family attorney’s who handle things like this for us since we are Senior Citizens, this is Elder abuse! This is one last chance for YOU TO REFUND my money in full immediately! I would never pay FOR anything that doesn’t work the way it says, this one I used once, it was Free!
I did not order this but was charged about 7-8 weeks. The charge is every 7 days. 6.41 every week. I did not order this but someone did . It was not me but it is my phone so I have to be responsible for what happens on my phone. I get that. When I figured out that this app was taking 6.41 every week I immediately went about getting the charge stopped. I tried to recoup some of the money they had taken from my account. I called and explained to them that I did not order it. When I ask for some of the money back as they can tell that this app was only used once. The lady on the phone was very nice and said that I would see a refund on my bank records. I am over 65 and on a very tight budget. I have very little money for groceries after my bills are paid so I waited but the refund never came. These apps are money hungry and they could care less about what is happening in real life. I researched what this app does and it only deletes doubles of your photos. This is not worth even 6.41 monthly much less 6.41 weekly. It is pathetic the length that people go to fill their banks and deplete ours. I was lied to and that is why I wrote this review.
