This might be fine for residential or neighborhood laundromats, but for a hotel it’s horrible. There’s a minimum $10 fee to add funds, so if you’re doing one load, you’re gifting them a significant amount of money. The app doesn’t take ApplePay or PayPal like some other laundry apps do, and I don’t like giving my credit card # to a company that seems to be trying to take my money (if it were my building I’d get a gift card for laundry, but not worth it for one load). And you have to use a separate website to add funds. If you lose money because of a faulty machine, they don’t give you a refund: they give you credits. Checking out of hotel, so it’s like no refund at all. I didn’t have an issue with the app, but all apps have occasional glitches and again, they don’t give refunds. There’s no reason not to allow us to use credit cards at the machine like other apps do.

Most the negative one-star reviews are a year old or older, however I am using cleartoken as an option for my customers to use at my laundromat. I have had it installed on all my machines (68 of them) for about a month, and those that are using it, love it. This has eliminated the use of quarters or tokens. They don’t need to walk in with cash, but can use their credit cards. Those few that have had a problem quickly get it resolved with the cleartoken representative when they call or email. So far my experience has been a positive one, as it is simple to use and is very intuitive. I would recommend them as an additional option for payment.

This app required me to accept all permissions including precise location just to open. Then it directed me to a separate website to enter my card info. Absolutely not, lol. I just need to do $5 of laundry in a hotel and I’m not giving this app I’ve never heard of all of this info just to wash some underwear. There’s no reason for this service to even exist other than to be a middle man and steal money. Don’t give this app your card info. Almost all of the five star reviews sound like they were written by employees- not a single person would ever write reviews that sound like a commercial for a coin laundry app.
