Description

Client Task is an iPhone app that helps contractors record time spent working on client projects. Once a user enters contractor and client contact information, projects can be created and time spent on those projects tracked.

Client Task uses contractor, client, and project information to generate invoices as PDF files. For a particular client, invoice dates and included projects can be selected. Once created, invoices can be printed or emailed to the client.

User settings allow time to be formatted as hours:minutes or decimal hours.

Project work history shows time spent on projects by quarter, month, week, and day.

Client Task data can be transferred to other iOS devices using Airdrop. If the target device has the Client Task App, it will allow the user to import the transferred data. Imported data replaces any existing data on the target device.

Just what I needed!

I was looking for an app that was able to record time for me as I worked in my family office. I am constantly being interrupted so I wanted something that I could stop and start like a timer. I was surprised to find this app that dealt more with general contracting. Although it would help me with my family office, I realized it would also help me with my independent contracting. I do management and several gig economy jobs. It’s perfect for all of that. I played with it about an hour to find an effective way for it to help me. It does have an easy manual, but I learn by discovery.

I love that you can adjust the timed items with a date calendar scroll clock. I also love how you can use color to differentiate between the client labels. It has just enough to be a beautiful visual sidekick to my everyday work.

The only change I would make is to have a two-tier delete. Right now if you press delete it is gone forever. With hide, edit and delete all being on the same execute bar it is easy to accidentally delete. All of the information connected to a client or task is gone forever. There should be a pop up that says “Are you sure you want to delete this?”

Other than that I’m looking forward to using this constantly. This was a great discovery today. Thanks for the work!

Developer Response ,

Thanks for the generous review! The two-tier delete is a great idea. Version 3.5 adds this feature.
