Description

A difficult climbing game that appears simple but is incredibly challenging to succeed in. You need to control the protagonist's hands as they climb upwards, experiencing the despair of falling back to the starting point with every misstep.

Unabashedly plagiarism

As anyone with eyes or a developed frontal lobe could see, this is a direct duplicate off of a stream game called “a difficult game about climbing” made by Pontypants. I cannot put into words how direct of a worse copy this game is, but I will do my best.

“A difficult game about climbing” is a computer steam game released by Pontypants on march 3rd 2024, and it does not have a mobile counterpart officially released as of the time of writing this review. This game was released shortly afterwards.

“Climbing challenge game” is a game that copy and pastes the entire games assets, sound effects, character model and rigging, animations, physics. Water effects, textures, and lighting. All of these, just slightly worse with certain textures missing or lighting bugs scattered around the map.

With an extremely unintuitive climbing mechanism that does not allow precise grabbing, pulling, launching, swinging or other mechanics that essentially make the game playable, trying to control the character becomes un “foddian” like, and becomes just plain frustrating.

The ads are another thing that I feel the need to mention. When you start the wonderful journey of this game, you will notice a strip of ads covering the entire bottom of the screen that cuts the already small controlling buttons in half. You may also notice that if you fall into the water, it will play full screen ads with a tiny exit button.

Falling in the water from any height at all has a chance to give you these ads, but also give you an option to “revive” for the short waiting time of two full screen unskippable ads. The revive option also does not function how it is intended to, rather sending you to the last thing that your hands touched, and not the place that you fell from.

There must be some way for copyright to take this down, and I do hope so, and I hope anyone questioning this games legitimacy and playability has read this review decided to not, in fact download this halfhearted catastrophe of a “game.”
