4.5 stars - Latest update was a biggie

This latest update 1.4 was a huge improvement for the way I want to use the app. I have my desktop arranged in a particular way, and needed the clock to go in a certain (custom) spot. The previous version did not provide enough granularity in positioning, but version 1.4 allows you to put the clock anywhere you want on the screen! I would give this 4.5 stars now (if 1/2 stars were allowed). The only way the author could make this better is to allow the user to enter the exact screen coordinates to place the clock. The position sliders are nice, but sometimes tough to adjust finely enough without a lot of back and forth trial and error with the mouse/trackpad. But that’s a minor issue. Loving this app…I can finally ditch my Geektool clock I had been using for years!

EARLIER REVIEW: This latest release has made the app better, but I have one feature request I think would make it excellent. If the horizontal and vertical positioning via the sliders could allow a continuous position range and not just top, middle, and bottom, it would be perfect. I have a specific spot on my desktop I would like to place the clock, but only allowing 9 positions doesn’t quite get it where I want it. Other than that, this is a great app and has multiple customizations that should satisfy anyone.

With the latest update you can now position the clock free on the desktop.

24-hour Army Time vs. 12-hour Standard Time

I see one problem that no one else appears to have caught. This clock allows you to follow 12-hour Standard Time only if you will accept "AM" and "PM" also being shown, so if it is now 1:15 (PM), you can have "1:15 PM" or "1:15:33 PM", but you cannot show "1:15" or "1:15:33".

If you don't want "AM" or "PM" shown when this clock appears, then you will have no choice but to accept that 24-hour Military Time will be shown, and you will have only "13:15" or "13:15:33" time shown.

I would like to have the option available to me of showing current time using the 12-hour Standard Time format, without being forced to also use "PM" or "AM", if that's how I wish to have the information from the clock appear on my screen.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for your feedback. I will consider to add that option in one of the next releases.

Great except for ghosting!

This app works exactly as expected. The only issue I have is it occasionally leaves the shadows of some numbers behind after it changes time. So I might see a 4 in the hour slot, but behind it is the shadow of a 1. And this happens in all places. It only corrects itself if I adjust the size or placement of the clock, but then immediately starts ghosting again. I'm on an M1 machine running Monterey 12.6, if that is relevant. Would love to see this fixed in an update!
