Login is clunky and doesn’t automatically log you in even if biometric login is available. The app constantly redirects you to a browser for certain functions despite not being able to access this service through a desktop browser. The developers should work towards making more of these features native and follow Apple developer protocol for logins.

Traditional provider visits are okay but urgent care visits are quite rushed and practitioners forget prescriptions or have to be repeatedly pressed to get prescriptions for alternative care options.

Let me begin by saying the care I have received using this app has been excellent. I make appointments to refill mental health medication and speak with a doctor in relation to that treatment.

The app itself is rubbish. I understand HIPPA laws that cause you to be signed out constantly, but it’s like they took no UX considerations when developing the usability of the app itself. When an appointment is booked there no clear direction as to where that booking is (you have to go in like you’re booking a new appointment to see existing ones). It constantly crashes, it sometimes won’t log you in (like right now, I can’t get back into the app as of the writing of this review, even after resetting my password and making sure the app is updated). Sometimes I have to completely restart my phone (iPhone 13 with the latest OS) to get the app to refresh.

I wish this wasn’t the official CareFirst Blue Cross app, cause it’s complete garbage.
