Description

Tired of cluttered folders with multiple file versions that are hard to track? Or wish the default modifier key actions were more useful?

CLVR (klōvər) is a macOS utility that simplifies file management by automatically appending timestamps to duplicated file names.

How to Use:
- Select any file and press 'Command-D' to create a duplicate.
- The duplicated file, initially named 'filename copy.file-extension,' will be automatically renamed to 'filename--YYYY-MM-DD--HH-MM-SS.file-extension'.

Key features:
- Operates with minimal system impact
- Provides visual feedback via an animated menu bar icon
- Supports two customizable timestamp formats
- Includes an On/Off toggle and flexible visibility options (Dock, Menu Bar, or both)
- Preserves file extensions, and works with hidden files
- Compatible with "Open at Login" preferences

Privacy Considerations:
- Accesses and modifies only files in user-selected folders
- File monitoring is restricted to renaming purposes only
- No data is transmitted outside the user’s system
- Source code is available for transparency and review on GitHub

Licensing:
- Source code and project files are licensed under the MIT License
- App names, imagery, and binaries are copyrighted
