Description

Hear genuine cockatiel whistles and songs today!

Cockatiels are one of the most common pet birds in the world! These beautiful birds are characterized by a unique yellow crest of feathers sticking up on the top of their heads. Sometimes thought of as small parrots or cockatoos, cockatiels typically get along well with humans, making them the perfect companion bird to keep at home!

Cockatiels are talkative birds, commonly chirping and whistling to communicate with their human owners or other birds. Different types of sounds mean different things, so learning cockatiel vocalizations can help you understand your pet bird. Hearing other cockatiel sounds can even help calm your bird when he is agitated or upset!

A common cockatiel sound is a loud vocalization that is somewhere in between a whistle and a scream or squeal. This noise typically means the bird is either afraid or excited. Softer chatter or singing is usually a sign that your bird is happy or bored. Hissing can be heard from cockatiels who are feeling scared and threatened. Cockatiels also make many other calls and whistles, especially since like their parrot cousins, cockatiels mimic whistles that they hear in their environment!

Play these real-life cockatiel sounds for your pet cockatiel at home!

It’s ok

My birds don’t really respond. If your wondering why the sounds don’t play you have to switch your phone to “silent mode off”

NONE OF YOUR BUSINUS ,

Your birds will respond to it

Our cockatiel flew out of the house a couple days ago. One of the recommendations for finding your bird is to play sounds of cockatiels to attract your bird back home. We have two other cockatiels that would talk back to this app so I knew it would get a response. I linked my phone to a blue tooth speaker that I attached to a backpack and then walked around the woods with the app trying to get him to respond. I didn't find him with the app, but I knew at least that he wasn't where I was looking. If you lose a cockatiel, keep this app in mind. Use it near your house or on a walk and your bird might talk back to it.

Pretty awesome!

My cockatiel only responds vocally to a few sounds which is very entertaining to watch! If you need ideas for updates, I helpful one would be details about each sound. Like what the sound is(happy, bored, random chatter) I don’t want to be playing something that would be making my bird upset in some way, so maybe some extra information under each sound would be nice! Overall, really nice app!
