A true purpose built IDE
Imagine an IDE that’s built by people who really care about the experience and, not only that, are very skilled at the implementation. Imagine again that it’s on an iPad and you have access to the built in sensors and other cool goodies out of the box. That IDE is real and it’s Codea! I adore this application and would easily have paid $100 for it. It’s that good.
Codea is such a carefully thought out and well implemented IDE that I wish the developers would make an IDE for Swift/Python/C, etc. I’d buy them all.
Overall I’m just thrilled this exists. The utter joy of opening Codea and easily getting started with a fun project or visualization is more than worth the price of admission.

The most versatile iPad coding app, ever!
This is not a toy app. It’s a serious Lua IDE with serious set of very good libraries that allow you to create non-trivial apps of your own. It’s very suitable to learn coding (i.g lua) and a platform to create apps you want to. I literally have been coding with this app while I am standing on the train during my commute.

Edit: I have an iPad 2, and I like to develop on it. You guys said craft support was coming soon, and you cut off support for iOS 9! Are you kidding me, bring this back. I was promised craft support, and I want to get it!

Thank you for your review. Craft was released in October 2017 with Codea 2.5. It fully supported iOS 9. You should be able to run it on your device.
Since version 2.6 we have moved to supporting iOS 10 minimum, but it has been over a year since we initially released Codea Craft with support for iOS 9.
