Once you are connected Codeanywhere offers you a (FTP) File browser, which enables you to upload, download, rename, delete, update permissions (chmod), run custom commands and more just with the swipe of your finger.

Poorly designed for iOS

Shows no sign of being designed for iOS: fonts are too small, tap targets are tiny, screen is constantly hidden by keyboard, etc. Difficult, non-intuitive navigation: changing to a new function involves squinting at tiny fonts and carefully tapping through a half-dozen vaguely named options. Buggy: occasional crashes and every so often it would jump me from the app to the web version of the same screen. Offers ftp instead of sftp as a first choice, in 2018. Sftp didn’t actually work, with a completely unhelpful error message - it may have been me making a mistake, but it wasn’t worth struggling with this any longer to figure it out.

No customer support whatsoever

I had a serious problem with 2 step auth and couldn’t login at all. I sent several emails attempting to get customer support and then to cancel the service and get a refund. I haven’t received a response yet, months later. I tried this app a few years ago and it was useful, but I can’t pay for something that has no support.

Unusable on iPhone X

Extremely unresponsive, requiring patience and repeated taps for navigation, and the coding keyboard is somewhere between unreliable and broken. The only pieces of the app that seem to work are the one that forward you to a web browser—requiring you to sign in again—to use.

Also, the app's 5-star reviews are clearly almost all fake. They're all 1-2 lines, and by people like "Truman Howard" and "Truman Howardy". I spotted "Jerry Pigou" on there 5-6 times with various numbers before/after the name.

The only good thing about the app in its current state is that it's free, so feel free to try it out and see for yourself.
