When first opening this program, it seemed simplistic. But as I used it, I started to figure out some very useful tricks, and ways to use the program. You can input any image, and it will search out the colors it understands, you can search out your own choices, you can use various understandings of color such as saturation, lightness, hue, html, etc, and more.
If you really want to have some control, you can go do a search on the images on the net and find some color charts! They are as easy as doing a google image search or Yahoo image search, etc. On google set the search for high res images (under search tools, under size) for best results. You can get a huge chart of hue, brightness, saturation, etc, or whatever you want of all the colors, and couple that with this program’s color picker to have a massively useful program.
If you are an artist who knows how to use color, this will be a self explanatory program, and it’s a great way to set things up in your mind before starting your project.
No color schemes
This app looks like it does a lot on the Appstore page, but it really doesn't do very much more than the Apple Color Picker already does.
Specifically, it doesn't create color schemes. Creating color schemes is a basic function of any good color-management app. This app allows you to pick colors from the screen, but it doesn't generate complimentary, secondary, tertiary or other color combinations, as implied in the Appstore description. You have to do that by yourself by guesswork. It does generate color codes for various systems, but if you need help choosing color schemes, forget it.
In fact, if you need any kind of help with Color Seeds, forget it. Color Seeds Help isn't available, nor are there any kind of instructions on how to use it.
Unable to use this app because I keep getting the spinning ball. I would like to have a refund..
Until the app can be used I do not recommend purchasing it.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
