Indispensable

I've had for at least two years or more now and Conjuverb has been indispensable. I'm learning Spanish on my own and it has supplemented my language programs (pimsleur and FSI) at all the stages I've been through from beginner to now conversational. I often used to use it as a dictionary since familiar verbs can seem new in unfamiliar conjugations. A regular dictionary does not suffice for this. The flash card mode is a great tool as well, I would have paid for each of this features separately in different apps but here it is in one. Get it. You will not regret it.

The more I use it, the more I hate it

I originally wrote a review and gave it three stars. You can see it below. The more I use it, however, the more I see flaws. For example, look up, "tomar". That means "to take" or "drink", but it only mentions drink. Next, look up the imperfect subjunctive of that word. That generally refers to events that happened in the past, but this app refers to it in the present tense. And since my last writing, the database doesn't appear to have been updated, again not even containing 2,000 words. That's great for the first month of learning a language. But even for trading purposes, one needs to know at least 3,000 of the most common words. Why on earth this app doesn't have more words and doesn't at least provide a way for users to do so is beyond me.
======================

This app is great. It's the first one I've seen that actually tells me what the future indicative actually means by putting a little "I will fall" for root verb "caer". It's great. So what's the issue?

It only has a few words in it's database (I believe about 1,600). Needless to say, this is not nearly enough and when you put a root word in (I tried "rodar") and nothing gets returned, you're forced to look it up someplace else, like before I had the app.

Also, if there are no results it's should say, "no results". Hopefully the developer will allow users to add words to make this app better.

Developer Response ,

Sorry you hate the app. We don't claim to be an exhaustive list of all Spanish verbs, just the ones we find most useful. You are correct in that you should learn at least 3000 of the most common words, however, this is a VERB only app. Hope you find this helpful :)

Great app!! Add pronunciation and we will pay

This app is so wonderful. I always have it open in the background when I’m studying Spanish. I’ve been using it for years. I just updated to the new version and I’m getting used to it.

One suggestion. It would be more useful to have the imperfect on the same line as the preterite and the imperative, gerund, and participle to the spot after the future tense (before all the rarely used verb forms)
