Connect my tablet 4+

I’ve used an Intuos 2 tablet on my Mac mini for years, without a hiccup. I’m currently running High Sierra and a couple days ago the tablet suddenly went dark. No signal, no response. I had made no upgrades or modifications to my system, so I was befuddled. Assuming I needed an updated driver I went to Wacom and tried to download and install one compatible with my system. No go. It downloaded but wouldn't install, no matter how I adjusted my security settings. Apple doesn’t trust unidentified developers even if they’re old standards like Wacom. So I went to the App Store and ran across Connect my tablet.

The directions are detailed and clear, and following them to the letter is imperative. I thought I had, but apparently still had remnants of an old driver standing in the way. So I sent a help email and the response by Uwe in the UK was IMPRESSIVE beyond words. He never lost patience for a moment (I could learn from him!) and guided me to a successful installation of the appropriate driver, into a spanking clean system. My Wacom is on the road again!

Uwe, I don’t know how you keep your cool with people who manage to flub up as I did. But this app and your SUPERLATIVE customer care makes this a hands-down BARGAIN to keep your tablet functional, no matter what technology does to ditch our trusted tools! Uwe rocks and I’m rolling! This app WORKS and I could not be more grateful.

The title may be confusing with the five stars given. But with the personalized and detailed instructions from Wacom's customer support they deserve it. I updated my 2015 MacBook Pro to Catalina and started this program. At first, the steps were pretty confsuing and when I didn't see certain folders or files, I finally reached out to customer support. Uwe Huedepohl was so extremely helpful with everything. When I emailed support, I thought I'd get a reponse back in a few days. Wrong! It was 10 minuets!!! AND he was in the office until around 7pm helping me out. Come to find out, if you have the Clean My Mac application on your computer, you do have to change some things up as its not entirely compatible with Wacom (I just deleted the entire application since I never use it). That, and you also have to pay attention to which Driver you download.
After I did a clean of my files, deleted some software, and with Uwe's help -of course- I set the tablet up in less than 20 min. After running through it 4 times it became a lot easier to navigate. Best advise would be to trust the process and if you need any help, contact customer support. They are extremely helpful!!!

I am most impressed with the level of customer service. Something I have never experienced before! Oh and the app is amazing, so much work and detail has gone into this. It's easy to follow and I was able to get my old Intuos 3 up and running again on Catalina. But I quickly found a problem with the cursor shaking while using the mouse or pen. If I grounded my left hand on the frame of my iMac, the shaking would stop-very strange. I found a few others online who had the same issue with their tablets and it had nothing to do with this Connect my Tablet app. The answer for most seemed to be changing the frequency to "standard mode" instead of "recognition data". This required going to the tablet preferences pane to make the adjustment. Unfortunately, achieving connectivity with this app means you won't have access to all preference options. Uwe from Connect My Tablet was unrelenting with his support and determination to figure this out. And he did! Hats off, they are true geniuses and professionals. If you have any issues, do not hesitate to reach out to them. They're amazing!

This was the first time for us, that this change of frequency setting was required but we might build it into our Troubleshooting routine in one of our future versions in case other users require it. Most of the preference pane functions for Intuos 3 tablets are configurable again after connection with Connect my tablet, but this particular setting was not available (yet) and we are happy that we still could help you.
