Connect my tablet is doing exactly that: It connects your previous generation tablet from Wacom (TM) to your Mac and restores at least its critical functionality to be creative with Photoshop (TM) and other programmes in Mojave, HighSierra and Sierra. For many models the Wacom preference pane, and therefore all previous functionality, will be working again.

As you will have to install and de-install tablet drivers, you have to have admin rights on your computer.

Connect my tablet was originally written for Graphire 2, Intuos2 and Intuos tablets, allowing to change settings without a preference pane. But now it helps to connect other tablets too - even officially unsupported - like Bamboo, Cintiq and Intuos tablets.

With version 2.x you now get an expert system, guiding you step by step through the reconnection process - or, if needed - the change of settings.

Currently Connect my tablet supports and is tested on:
Bamboo: including CTH-460/470/661/670, CTL 460/470, MTE-450
Intuos: including GD and XD series; Intuos3 PTZ-431/630/631/930/1231W; CTH-480 and some Intuos4 and Intuos5 tablets
Graphire: 2,3,4 series
Cintiq: including 18SX, 21UX
This list is updated with every version update. But you can always ask us at

Current capabilities for those tablets that not only need reconnection (and then their preference pane works again) but also require settings to be changed via Connect my tablet:

• Tablet/ Stylus behaviour restored
• One group of settings for all applications (although with different backups you can be application specific)
• Pen Pressure Sensitivity selectable
• Pen Buttons programmable (keystrokes, modifiers, clicks)
• Eraser programmable
• Double click assistance can be switched off/on
• Definition of active tablet area
• NEW: definition of the pen/stylus to switch to mouse mode from pen mode

We may add further settings for change if required and feasible. Again, just contact us at:

Worked right away

I’ve had a CTE-450K that has been only partially working for a long time. Despite multiple unstalls and reinstalls of the Wacom software The Tablet preferences were missing. The tablet only worked as a sort of second mouse. I found this app mentioned in an article and decided the price was worth the gamble. I thought the app didn’t work at first because none of the options changed after I installed it. But for the first time in I don’t know how long the Wacom preferrences appeared in my system preferrences again. I was able to configure my tablet and use it in digital art applications. I’m thrilled! Thank you!

Thank you so much for your great feedback :)! Yes, with your tablet the preference pane is working again after Connect my tablet supports the connection. Other older tablets will be able to change the most important stylus/pen settings by using that additional functionality within Connect my tablet. Best wishes for your art work!

Saved my biscuit!!

I updated to Mojave knowing that this app was available, as all other internet searches revealed that Wacom was no longer supporting drivers for my Cintiq DTZ-2100 after High Sierra. Using this utility I was able to get the old warhorse up and running. BUT - a jagged line issue reappeared. An issue I had when I first bought the Cintiq years ago. It took a Photoshop update to fix the problem back then, and lo and behold a Photoshop update to fix the problem now. Their customer support walked me through all known issues and now they have another known issue to refer to. EXCELLENT and quick responses to my emails. GREAT STUFF!!!!

When moving my OSX up to Mojave, it was an unintended consequence that my Cintiq was made 'obsolete'. At least obsolete in the opinion of Wacom, who have decided not to give driver support on my 1st generation Cintiq 21UX (which has worked tirelessly and flawlessly for 13 years). I called them and they said it was 'a hardware incompatibility issue'. After some digging on the web, I found this app and decided to give it a go before spending $1,600 on a new Cintiq. It worked perfectly and the questions I had about set up were promptly answered by the creators. Good job giving new life to my faitful digital companion.
