Help develop phonics and literacy skills in early childhood learners (ages 3-8) with this simple matching game that teaches and reinforces consonant blends and digraphs. Understanding how to decode words at an early age is an important component of literacy success! This little App makes learning fun!

Developed for your iPad, this game will teach and reinforce blends and digraphs. Consonant Blends and Digraphs requires 3-5 minutes for a young learner to complete, making this iPad app ideal for students with limited attention spans or those requiring highly visual or tactile learning experiences. Additionally, these activities have been uniquely designed to lock and play only in the portrait mode in order to simplify game play and eliminate an orientation switch if young learners jostle the iPad while playing.

Needs A Little Work

This app would work great for my 5 year old if it would allow me to choose the blends I wanted to work on.

Good app but could be better

Pretty good app. Good pictures and a nice variety of them. I wish there was an option to have an audio clue so that if a student did not know what a picture they could hear it when they tapped it. I also wish there was a way to return to the menu once in the game. I also would love if blends and digraphs could be separated.

Developer Response ,

These issues are resolved. Pronunciation of illustrations is included. You can now return to the beginning of the app at any time. There is also a page count that indicates how many screens are yet to come. Thank you for using Pocket Charts! Consonant Blends and Digraphs.

No choices

It's not bad, however you cannot choose which beginning sound you want to work with a child on. Also, once you begin the game, there is no way to get back to the main page.

It's a great start, but it still needs some fine tuning.

Developer Response ,

This issue is resolved. There is now a button at the bottom of each page that will allow you to return to the home page. Thank you for using Pocket Charts Pro! Consonant Blends and Digraphs!
