Description

Is your address book a messy collection of contacts imported from old phones and computers? Use ContactClean to eliminate duplicates and find missing data to clean your address book! Combine several partial contacts for the same person into a single complete one.

Automatic Cleanup finds duplicate contacts with the same name and same phone or email to quickly and automatically combine doubles. Or cleanup yourself, to decide how to combine the doubles into one.

Find misnamed contacts, such as those with only a first name, to quickly add the missing parts. Even search and replace to get rid of old information that other phones may have left around in your address book.

Easily email yourself a backup of your address book, delete batches of old contacts with just a few taps, and more.

NOTE: This app works best if your contacts are synced to iCloud. Syncing to other data sources, such as your computer or other servers, may later "fix" the contacts back to the way they were before you cleaned them!

Good but not great

The major strength of the App is that it gives you a side-by-side comparison so should make sure whatever merges you are doing is correct. It even allows you to pick which information to keep (or not) when merging 2 different contact records. The inclusion of the photo ;if any exist) makes the process even easier.

The weakness is in finding potential candidates for merging or deletion. It only allows me to search on one of three fields; name, phone OR email. Multifield searches are not allowed. There is no "skip" feature. A few other basic capabilities they simply missed. I have no way to explain why.

So my conclusion is that it's okay and it is been helpful to me for merges but it would be great if the product more sophisticated

Pressed the wrong button & was CHARGED $2!

I hope this is not some monthly scam just to have them steal a couple of dollars every month from me, and only a one time mistake, especially when I couldn't even use the service to help me clean up the contacts I was trying to fix! Boo!

Doesn’t work.

This app doesn’t work. It tried merging 10 different names & that was the entire system. That’s AFTER upgrading for $2. It’s a scam. DO NOT BUY.

The developer, Headlight Software, Inc., has not provided details about its privacy practices and handling of data to Apple.
