Be sure you have a backup before you even try this.
Contacts Cleanup Lite procedes in a fashion that doesn’t let you see what is going to happen. Often it merges ‘Duplicates’ that really aren’t. It only asks if you want to merge two cards that it thinks are duplicates; it does not show you the content of the cards to be merged.
I’d like to see both duplicates and what it plans to leave as the merged copy if and before I permit it to merge. Also, l want an opportunity to Cut&Paste selected info from the duplicates into the final before hitting “Merge.”
Others have reported mishandling of Groups and serious stability issues with “Contacts Cleanup,” the parent application.
