Content Browser Mobile is an application to remotely control CBK-WA100/101 Wireless Adapter and Wi-Fi compatible Sony professional camcorders/recorders.

LIVE OPERATION
- Monitoring live video from camcorders/recorders
- Displaying the status of connected devices
- Remotely controlling focus, zoom, rec start/stop, and etc.
- Live logging (Essence Mark)

BROWSE
- Displaying the clip list
- Playing clips
- Editing metadata of clips

TRANSFER
- Uploading clips to FTP, FTPS, or other servers
- Uploading clips partially by marking in and out points
- Downloading clips to mobile devices
- Managing transfer jobs via job lists

STORYBOARD
- Rough cut editing
- Uploading clips partially and an EDL based on storyboards

PLANNING METADATA
- Naming clips
- Assigning Essence Mark lists to buttons
- Browsing and uploading related clips

Typical Sony

Once again, Sony’s amazing camera hardware is backed up by shoddy software. I really wish they’d grow their software engineering team and hire some competent programmers. This is the company that’s had a “Paint” option in their menus for who knows how many years, so that seems unlikely

Pretty Useless

I mean, unless you really need to watch yourself because you’re solo...there’s no real need for this app. I use it with my FS5 sometimes (if I remember I have it) and it’s honestly just good for monitoring what’s going on. Sure you can hit record but, you can also do that before you get in front of the camera. It’s not hard to cut that bit out.

Updates needed

* needs to allow Touch to focus while monitoring during the app
* needs show the AF point
* needs to show face priority for face tracking
* needs to have audio in playback
* needs to learn from the FX9 user groups on Facebook
