I love this app, I have been using it for more than a year. I appreciate that the developer continues to improve it. That said, the recent update that added a bunch of colors went a little overboard. It's really time-consuming and near impossible to find a good looking combination. One of the rewards for doing all my tasks is getting to fill up all my colors in Continuo at the end of the day, but it's not as rewarding if it's a mismatch of weird neon colors. This wouldn't have been a problem if the update hadn't changed my original colors to more saturated ones. I'm not saying it should revert to the 16-something colors that it had, but I think it could be reduced to a more manageable number, or maybe a better interface. Less is more.
Thanks for the thoughtful comments! I did get a lot of requests to add many more colors, but I understand it can be overwhelming. I’m always looking to improve the app, and I’d be interested to hear in which parts of the spectrum you’re having trouble finding colors you like - feel free to email me at naftali@continuoapp.com.EDIT: Just wanted to let you know that I’ve updated the picker to have a wider range of color options, and simplified the way you browse colors. Hope this improves it for you!
I love the new update, but can you add the dark grey background back too? I thought it looked a lot better with the colors. It just looks strange on the dark mode even after I’ve adjusted the colors as best as I could, but then if I switch it to light mode, or auto, the colors I adjusted for one theme look weird on the other and vice versa. Everything else though about this app, I love. It’s the BEST tracking app I’ve ever found.
Please change the fonts back to what they were in the old version. The app is no longer aesthetically pleasing to use and this was one of its best features. Also, the app is no longer usable now that you have changed the width of the bars in each daily block of the calendar. They are too small and I can't tell what color is what or easily see trends. Why did you change this? I went from loving everything about this app to completely regretting updating it to this version. Now I am on to the App Store looking for a replacement :-(
I just bought this. It looks very promising, but I had trouble going about the UI. It’s quite difficult to find where to add a new activity. The information architecture and UI patterns don’t seem to be what you expect; they are quite unusual UI patterns. In addition, I cannot for the life of me understand what the bars for when you track your activity mean. Aside from this, the UI is quite clean and simple and have potential if they just clarify the UI signifiers and reorganize the app navigation.
The reason it's free for one habit, but paid for more, is for you to try it out before you pay. It's not a charity. It's a free to try app. Well worth it in my opinion. It really emphasizes the fact that doing a little each day is better than nothing. In fact, it's often better than doing a lot on one day, and nothing on the rest, especially if it's a skill you're practicing.
Thank you so much for making this! its an absolute delight to use, and the simplicity and design are just *chefs kiss*. If i had 1 issue it would be that the stats are a bit messed up, it always says “no days have been recorded yet”, whereas itd be nice to see overall completion rate, and the per month breakdown.
Thanks for the kind words! I’m aware of the stats bug, and I’ll be pushing out an update shortly. I’m also working on a new statistics view. ;)
