I love control, played through it on the PC. It runs well on iPhone 17, great on iPad Pro 11" 2025 and looks amazing, but has three specific drawbacks that do not permit to leave 5 star rating. Firstly, there is no way to use a keyboard and mouse to play the game. I have Magic Keyboard, I can use an external mouse, but the game is touch/controller only. I don't think it's that hard to implement, since the Mac version of the game obviously has this feature. Secondly, there are no cloud saves, thus, I cannot play the same game on my Mac, iPhone and iPad in different situations (at home, in metro, during longer commutes). Last nitpick -- the particles, which remain after killing the enemies, are much less prominent than in PC version. If you make an option in the graphics menu to fix this, the impact from fights will be much better.

I’m playing on M4 Pro 20 core GPU chip which runs the game perfectly fine at 984p upscaled to 1900p by MetalFX without ray-tracing, however with ray-tracing on the game has massive stutters almost every 10 seconds and especially during combat the game freezes for almost a whole second making the whole sequence unplayable, turning on V-sync to lock the frame rate at 30 doesn’t help since the game still has massive frame time spikes and dips feels like I’m playing an online game with phone data internet or something. The “HDR” is very misleading, it’s basically just remapped SDR, the game barely reach 500nits in the highlights, all it does moving the black level down so the game looks more “contrasty” but by doing that it increase banding and gradation issues in shadow details.The sensitivity curve on controller is just as bad as the PC and consoles versions, granular aiming near the dead zone is impossible since it’s really twitchy and yet the acceleration curve is really sluggish and increasing “sensitivity” settings only adjust time-based acceleration speed, not the core speed of the camera. The game is relatively fast-paced and required responsive control and yet the game doesn’t have it which should one of the fundamental things to consider for a game. The game does have aim assist functions but that should be considered as accessibility feature, not an excuse for a poorly designed controller sensitivity curve

EDIT: Upping this from 2 stars to 3.5 stars. The update contained instructions that requires the player to make adjustments in the Settings app. Upon doing so and rebooting the AVP, the game stopped crashing, but the audio glitchiness and game speed oddities still remain. I’m playing on an Apple Vision Pro M5 for context. I boot up the game and the intro is moving at 2X speed with music that plays with heavy crackle-pop static, and dialogue that completes 75% of a sentence before moving to the next line, or skips it if the line is too short (this is the case for all later cinematics). Intro ends and the game is running at an uncomfortable 2X-3X speed. Turning up the graphic settings makes the performance speed a pleasant 1X speed, but now the game is prone to crash at auto save processes that happen when picking up collectibles or talking to NPCs. I stop playing for the day and return the next to see an update. I update and restart the AVP. Audio glitches still present and more painfully ear piercing with each further cinematic. Performance/movement speed is still too hypercaffinated unless graphics settings are increased. But at least the auto save crash that is prone to happen when the graphic settings are high are much less frequent… which is still TOO D__N frequent!

I can't find a true support contact, so... Suddenly most of the light went dark after dying during the "Launch to complete the Astral Plane challenge." I thought it was part of the game to make it more challenging. The lighting returned to normal when I got to the mailroom suddenly even though the message "Launch to complete the Astral Plane challenge" persisted making me think I should still be in the challenge. I claimed a control spot and then found a room full of enemies I could launch things at. I died quickly, as happens. When I respawned at the control point the lighting was again mostly gone. I can barely navigate the environment. Going back to the fight room it's impossible to fight now because I can't see more than a few outlines in the environment. I thought it might clear up by dying again, but the light remains mostly off. Of course, I quit and restated a few times, even waiting a couple hours to come back, but the lack of lighting persists. I even tried fiddling with many display settings, including default of course, but nothing works. What do I do to keep playing? I know the game is not supposed to look like this or you’d see it in videos etc. I have an iMac M4, 10 core, 32GB RAM.
