Cookmate lets you create your own digital cookbook. Build your own recipe database by gathering recipes on the web and using the import features.
It is you and your own cookery!
You are looking for a new recipe ? Use our searching engine to find a new recipe on the web. When you have found one you like, import it into Cookmate. Then you will be able to view it everywhere on your phone or your tablet. You can add your own photo, change ingredients or directions, or add you own comments
You already have a cookbook ? Add a new recipe into Cookmate manually, scan your recipes from your favorite books and magazines or import your digital cookbook using one of the file formats we support like Meal Master (.mmf), MasterCook (.mxp), LivingCookBook (.fdx) , ReKconv (.rk)...
You want to share some recipes with your friends ? Invite your friends to join Cookmate, share your recipes with them and view their recipes. Or share your recipes on Facebook or by email, sms, and others. You can also send them a “Cookmate” file they will be able to load into their app
Cookmate (formerly My CookBook) also includes these features :
• Create shopping lists using your recipe ingredients
• Scale the ingredients to serve more or less people

I downloaded this app a few days ago. I’ve been thinking of organizing some recipes for a while but never got to it. There are so many options out there I just didn’t know what to get.
I had a different one before and I just didn’t like it much. I also save a lot of recipes on Pinterest but I just wanted a digital version of a regular recipe book. I read cookmate’s description and it seemed ok. Took me a while to test it but OMG I love it.
You know what’s the best part tho??? Being able to save a recipe by entering the website. The app uploads it organizes the recipe separating description, ingredients and preparation.
So you don’t have to scroll down through the whole life story people like to write now when they post a recipe in their website. What up with that anyways???? Takes half an hour to finally get to a recipe these days.
This app stops all of that!!!!!

For the most part, I love this, BUT
This app works great on my tablet & I have the paid version so I can keep my app on my phone synced with all the recipes loaded onto my tablet, which is what is keep near me when I cook. I primarily use the app on my phone when planning my meals & grocery lists, however, I cannot figure out how to update the app to show all the recipes I have on the platform. For example, I’ve had 81 recipes for quite some time, but I just added several recipes earlier this evening on my tablet. My app, however, still shows only 81 recipes, no matter how many times I try to sync or refresh. This is super frustrating, especially if I’m stuck in the middle of the grocery store where my tablet is not available.
Is there a fix for this??

Thanks for using COOKmate!
1/ Run a synchronization on your tablet. It will upload your recipes on the server. You can use the refresh button in the recipe list page for that. You can check if you see your recipes on your online account.
2/ When the synchronization is finished, run a synchronization on your phone. It will download new recipes from the server.
Great Recipe Keeper
This is a wonderful app that allows you to input your favorite recipes. You can input the list of ingredients, instructions and any helpful hints to make the recipe more successful! You can organize your recipes by category. You can also create a shopping list for each recipe!
