Ratings and Reviews
This was the first app where I felt like I needed to pay more. Seriously, it just provides so much value for personal finance! I used Mint for years, tried the Copilot free trial, and it was a no brainer for me to pay the yearly subscription. The app is just so freaking intuitive and syncs transactions immediately. I just got a spicy deluxe at Chick-fil-A then opened the app and it already synced into my transactions and into the correct category. The feature I use most often is the dotted line spending rate. I can see how much I am over or under budget everyday on a graph which helps me stay on target for the month. I noticed when the winter storm hit Texas my spending rate started to plateau underneath the budget because we were stuck inside not buying anything. Once the snow/ice melted I knew we had some extra budget for going out to buy food. The app also has amazing widgets for iPhone so you can keep your finances in check each time you open the phone. This app has kind of changed my personal finance life. Thanks for creating it!
So good I’d bet they’ll get bought out
They’re that good. There’s no denying they’re ex googlers. It’s very apparent in the UI. Sadly the app is so good, I don’t doubt they’ll get an offer probably in the next year give or take from either quicken or Intuit with too many zeros to turn down. My bets are on quicken likely to merge it with their “simplifi” app. Apps this good don’t stay on the market, they’re a real threat, just like o so many email apps with integrated AI that went to the microsoft graveyard after they sign a check.
I’d say keep up the good work but frankly it’s flawless already 🤷♂️ only changes I’d want is ability to have the app collect & log more than 6 months of transactions, .csv import for bank accounts, & maybe a landscape mode if you get bored and wanna add some frivolous fun stuff 😁.
Was kinda blindsided by this app in the best way possible, thought it was just another pop up shop app with a nice mockup that id invariably delete. Never expected this gem in the McDonalds drive through the App Store has become.
Terrible Experience; Just Like the Rest
I have been using Mint for years and it’s age is really starting to show. I’ve read nothing but glowing reviews on this app and thought I’d give it a try. I’m at the point where I’m willing to pay for an app to help me financially. But of course, my experience was nothing like what I’d read.
For starters I had a lot of trouble adding my accounts. I knew I had the right login as I would test each one before signing in on the app. The app would tell me the credentials were wrong or just give me an internal error. After multiple attempts I could usually get it to log in. I was also very disappointed to find that I couldn’t add my bills like Cox, Verizon, Electric, Gas, etc... Then during setup the app was trying to load all my transactions and for some reason couldn’t load them from one bank. I waited and waited but nothing changed. I decided to close the app and reopen it, still nothing. So basically I have to remove the account or be soft locked in the setup. That’s not very helpful.
Really all I want is an app where I can give it all my financial obligations and have it tell me how much I need to set aside each check and what’s due before next payday. Then it can worry about fancy budgeting and charts of my spending. My due dates are far more important.
Developer Response ,
Hi Kameechewa, we're very sorry that you had a bad experience linking your accounts through Plaid. We rely on them to securely access your data, but we're in the process of adding more options to successfully link all of your accounts. I hope you can give us another try in the near future, thanks for the feedback.
