Greatest TTRPG Companion App

I have never written an app review, but this app is so phenomenally made it warranted one. I have used other apps for other TTRPGs many a time. Most notably DnD Beyond, and it disgusts me that DnD beyond could even be considered in the same category as this app. For absolutely free you have access to everything thing you will need to play the game as a character. Every single item in the book is here categorized neatly, and easily accessible. All derived statistics are easily taken care of for you. You have the entire map with markers and location descriptions for all notable locations. It just genuinely has everything that is in the game right there in the app, and it’s masterfully incorporated. I just can’t say enough about this app. To sum it up it gives you everything that you didn’t even know you needed to have in a TTRPG companion app

Pretty great app!

Honestly, this is an amazing app, but I was considering rating it 3 stars. I gave it 4 stars because I really love it and it has helped my cyberpunk game to the next level. However, as a GM sessions can get quite hectic. The fact that I can’t input art is honestly very hindering. Maneuvering between characters quickly is essential and becomes more difficult the more players you have. Not to mention the npc’s. Without art it’s impossible to tell between a corpo’s team member and random encounter. How am I supposed to create a cohesive story/world without being able to quickly describe a character? Or accidentally deleting a needed character when deleting encounters. I’d really love for that feature to work soon, it’d be a huge boost.

A lot of good changes have been made :)

I was hoping to use this in a similar vain as “Chummer” with Shadowrun where you could, with quite a bit of ease, experiment with different weapons, pieces of cyberware, etc. with your sheet automatically taking in the difference. Nothing of the sort. Has a nice built in dice roller, and it looks like it would be nice as a play aid, but not very useful for any type of complex experimentation.

Also, some features are missing and others bugged. Despite my character having 6 martial arts no option for martial arts attacks appeared

EDIT: Many good changes have been made to the app to make it a lot more intuitive and user friendly, not perfect but I am enjoying it much more

Developer Response ,

Hey Voltaire-747,

I'll have to go check out Chummer, maybe it'll give me some inspiration to bring into this app!

While there's still a ton of content missing from this app, that gap in info narrows a bit with today's content update. It tracks Humanity, allotted points for various role abilities, NPC stats, Vehicle SDP, program REZ, and more. It also accounts for various role ability roll modifiers, and adds roll modifiers to more cyberware.

More detailed martial arts features will come in a future update.

At the end of the day, the core rulebook is BIG, and I'm only one guy with pretty limited free time. But as I get the time, the app will continue to improve, so definitely stay tuned for future updates!

Cheers!
