Description

Crimson Company is an intense 20-minute duel about drafting an army of sellswords. It involves deep strategic as well as tactical decisions, crazy combos and gut-wrenching mind games.

A SKILL-BASED CARD GAME:
You get the accessibility of all the card games you love, but combined with the competitive nature and depth of Chess. There's very little luck involved. Everything will come down to who made the better decisions!

UNIQUE "BOARD DRAFTING" GAMEPLAY:
Instead of holding a hand of cards, everything happens right on the board. Both players compete for the same deck and the same selection of sellswords and try to assemble stronger combinations of cards than their opponent.

VARIETY AND DIVERSITY:
There are 30 different sellsword characters in the game, each featuring their own unique artwork and special ability! Every match will differ from the one before and you will have to plan out your strategy on the fly each time.

DECISIONS FIRST:
The choices you make during a match are what determines your success! The outcome of the game does not depend on who has the "bigger collection" and there are no good or bad pre-determined matchups!

Excellent Game (UX for iPad needs work)

This is an excellent game!
Good strategy and tactics.

So then.. Why only ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️?

Because this game does not have auto orientation for iPad players.

Myself.. like most iPad users, hold our iPad’s in landscape mode, this game is only available in portrait.

That to me, means devs didn’t take the huge iPad populace into account, (Tim Cook reported) during 2020 Apple Keynote - 1 billion (or 500 million) iPads sold worldwide.

and so, I judge harshly when it comes to that, we are in 2021 and iPad is not a brand new concept.

Fix this, I’ll gladly upgrade to 5 star and I’ll delete this paragraph.

A HARMONY OF STRATEGY & TACTICS

On battlefield...

The cards are available for both opponents to purchase. These cards have simple mechanics, very EZ to understand what they do.

Once you comprehend the card nuances, and the purchasing mechanics... that’s when the far reaching implications of your strategy and or tactics start taking form in your mind (you start seeing a mental picture of where you have to go)

Once you grasp these dynamics (congrats) because that’s when you become a 4th dimensional being and start playing around with time and space - - because now you see farther.

this deeper sight is basically provides you the steps necessary that you need to take.

A very unique strategy game. Simple but deep. A battle of *decisions*

The person that gave the game one star with the subject: it’s horrible, must be a child or someone ignorant to strategy & tactic games.

They commented the game is horrible and didn’t list exactly what makes it horrible.

I can attest it’s not horrible.

Awesome and unique methinks

This game is dope haha it feels like it should be a board game. it’s a really simple but innovative rule set that doesn’t get more complicated, you just get smarter at using the rules to your advantage. I also like the ability to use your opponent’s cards in games so it doesn’t feel to limited. Really enjoy playing it in my free time, though it’s hard to grind because of a lack of goals to work towards. Not really a bad thing tho.

Bugs and bad AI ruin excellent game

The once-per-day power to gain XP has broken and now counts down into the negatives and never resets. Note that this is after I paid actual money to upgrade that power.

The AI is just terrible, even at what is supposedly level 22. It routinely loses via horrible blunders when victory is in its grasp.

I can’t ever make a human match. It claims 45 seconds but past day 1 with the game I’ve never matched.

Opening up new cards is incredibly slow. Like 5-10 games to unlock one card and you need 20-ish cards to create a new card mix. Paying to advance is absurdly inefficient and often too buggy to even work.

I highly recommend the physical card game version. The digital game is more like a beta. Not ready for release.
