iOS 14 includes a great new home screen widgets feature.
Unfortunately, the new API would require a redesign and a lot of rewriting to completely update my app. Old style widgets (like mine) still work, but are relegated to secondary status on the 'Today' screen. I originally built this app for myself, since I couldn't find another that provided a quick, information dense interface. Now there are plenty of alternatives with nice home screen widgets (I've already switched to Weather Line and Carrot Weather...)
This is the final release to make this announcement and fix a single bug (with location search).
Thanks to everyone who emailed me with such kind feedback over the years! and everyone who left a review! I'm glad you liked my app, and I learned a lot while building it (and had some fun too).

Best weather app
I am someone who is attentive to and appreciative of good design, in life and in software. I’ve had this app for a few years (found via macdrifter) and I firmly believe this app is the epitome of good design, not just as a weather app, but for design in general. It is as simple as it can be via interactions and display. It is customizable for the timespan and types of weather details you care about shows everything you want to know within a glance. If you don’t see what you want to know right away, it is only a tap or 2 away. Thank you for this app :)
They Focused on the widget!
Most weather widgets appear to be an afterthought and give very limited information with the hopes that you’ll click through to the related app so they can drive advertisement revenue. Crisp’s focus is entirely on the widget, which has allowed them to make the perfect weather widget. It’s exactly what I was looking for!
I still keep a mainstream weather app so I can watch real time radar when Mother Nature is trying to kill me, but for a quick forecast on the widget screen, Crisp is PERFECT!
The best weather widget in the app store
Update October 2019:
This continues to be the best weather widget in the app store. My original comments still hold true. Grateful that the developer has updated it for iOS 13 and added dark mode support!
It sounds like hyperbole but it's not. I've tried most of the others. Crisp Weather is accurate (uses Dark Sky), and highly configurable. It is easy to read. No frills or silly graphics. Latest update adding humidity and wind to chart is awesome.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
