I was really excited to use this app, but unfortunately I tried signing up and everything went well until the slide after “which system do you use”, it’s a bunch of reviews you can flip through for whatever reason (probably because it’s the slide before asking me if I wanted premium..) and I legitimately can’t get past it because the purple “next” button at the bottom of the screen is completely cut off and I can’t press it. So until this bug is fixed, I have to offload this app. I tried everything from shrinking my phone font to trying to force the app into landscape mode, all to no avail. as soon as this bug is fixed, I will re-download and sign up.

Ai Generated Pattern

I have used this app for years with the subscription option, it has been one of my favorite apps because I love to upload my patterns and use the counter especially now that you can connect to your watch. That being said - I was scrolling through the provided patterns today and saw the “Ai Generated Bunny” pattern. I find it to be lazy and irresponsible especially given how limited the patterns already are that are provided, but I didn’t get the app for the provided patterns so that hasn’t been an issue until now. I’m heavily considering cancelling my subscription and deleting the app. I don’t think I need to explain why this is troubling to me as many of the people who would get this app are already probably aware of the issues in using generative Ai for anything let alone for something like this, but I thought it was important to say since I haven’t seen any other reviews pointing this out. I will say, aside from the blatant use of Ai, the app has been great (although the free version has quite a lot of ads which can be frustrating).

Hello Aye&Jay, We understand your concern and this is exactly why we did it like it is done now. We've made an experiment on our Social media platforms, if AI is so good, can it make a pattern? As it appears, it can, but there were so many mistakes and inconsistencies, that our crochet creators had to basically rework it, but it was an interesting experiment, on how far can AI go with patterns. In short - for now, not so much, as it does not understand the mechanics of it and how all these things are connected. So we, as crocheters as safe...for now at least. All the things that we do here are handcrafted and validated by real artisans and masters of crocheting before they see the public. This is one of the reasons why we have fewer patterns than we could, if we would just steal someones work or generate them with AI.Hope it makes sense!

This app is amazing. I love how this is so good for beginners like me because even though everything is abbreviated there’s a chart and vids u can look at to see what everything means. There is just one suggestion I have though…. I mean I know this might be a lot t of hard work for the worker but the instructions should have a bit more detail. Having a picture for every step would show me what my project should look like at that step. If this was fixed it would be a five star from me. Everything else is amazing though! One more thing I forgot to say…I’m just really confused what the point of the yarn library and the hook library is.Not saying it was a bad idea to put it there since it looks like a lot of people like it.I’m just saying I would know what those are for so I can actually use them.

About the Yarn warehouse and Hooks inventory - many crocheters have hundreds of different yarns and leftovers to know for sure what do they have and have not. Also, by keeping the Yarn information in the stock, you don't need to have remember what yarn to buy. Same with hooks, when planning your next project, you can instantly know whether you have all the tools for that project, or missing something. Hope it covers it :) feel free to let us know if there are other ideas on improval
