Crossword Help finds words matching a pattern, synonyms and anagrams. comprehensive word lists, with words, compounds, phrases and proper nouns, mean that you should never be stuck on a crossword puzzle again.
There are three word lists provided for advanced word searching:
- Basic: 110 000 words and common compounds
- Advanced: over 750 000 words and compounds
- Wikipedia: millions of head words from Wikipedia
Word searches can include one or more unknown letters, vowel/consonant patterns, or groups of possible letters. For example, searching for T???P finds 5-letter words starting in T and ending in P. You can check if a word is in the word list and find anagrams. There's also a feature to find partial anagrams - all the words that can be made using the letters in a word (useful for Scrabble (TM)).
No Internet connection is required, but if you are online you can click on any word to quickly look it up in a variety of web references - turn your iPhone into an electronic crossword dictionary!
Other features include:
- Use British, American, Canadian or Australian English lexicon

Very useful; needs an iPhone X update
Please update this app to better support the iPhone X screen size.
This is great for solving crosswords, and for solving the anagrams found in cryptic (British-style) crosswords. Many dictionary apps have a similar feature, but it’s usually not very good. This one is purpose-built for the task. It links to the Chambers Dictionary app if you have it. That’s the standard dictionary used by creators of cryptic crosswords, so it’s a handy feature.
I only wish it fully supported the iPhone X screen size. Currently it works, but it doesn’t fill the screen.
I've been using this app a lonnnnng time for wildcard word searches, and now it's even 64-bit. Great! Give it a shot -- very handy.
Does everything it promised and more. Now I can delete all those useless programs (including the one that anagrammed, but didn't have any results if the word was a plural). I don't usually splurge on programs, but this was worth it.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
