Like the crossword puzzles. I even ended up buying the commercial free version. There weren’t that many commercials but I just don’t like to see them. If there’s anything else I’m wanting I’ll look for it on my own. The commercial free wasn’t that costly anyway. I have one big complaint. You can be doing a puzzle. Not finish it, close your phone for something then go right back and your puzzle is gone. Then you have to start a new one. Plus had a lot of easy ones left that are nice when you don’t have a lot of time. All of a sudden on top of losing the puzzle you were doing almost all the easy ones are gone also. That’s two major complaints that I need to see fixed. I’m really hoping to see this fixed on my phone or I’ve been ripped off like a lot of the apps do. I must say also now that I’ve had the app for a little while I’ve had a major problem. I’ve had some times when I’ve put the right letter in and it says it’s wrong. Try and try to figure out what it could possibly be. Finally get enough of the puzzle done that I’ve just had it fill its self in. It has that feature. Or I’ve put my objection square on that square and ask for a letter. It has put in the letter I’ve tried to get it to accept numerous time. Now that’s a major screw up. You beat your brains out trying to come up with a couple of words that have the meaning with a slight different spelling for nothing.

This is by far one of the best crossword apps on the store. I waited through 2 updates to write a review as I wanted to see how the company fixed issues through each update. For instance, in one update sponsor ads in the free edition would sometimes cause a black screen to appear and make it seem as though your app had crashed, when in reality the home button just needed to be tapped and the app reopened. You don't have to go through a full re-load sequence like you would if it had gone through a full crash or if the app had been closed fully. Once re-opened you just open right back to the puzzle. So far, the latest update has resolved this sponsor ad/black screen issue. I am also quite fond of the idea of telling the player the grid size, puzzle ease, and author up front. There are some authors, for instance, that I am inclined to not even open their puzzles while others I gobble up every chance I get. The maker of this app puts out as many free puzzles as they do paid! The paid puzzles are rich and totally deserving of the price of coffee (some less than the cost of coffee!) Often the paid puzzle packs come with more puzzles per pack than freebies. As I mentioned this is one of the best crossword puzzle apps I've played - and I have played almost all of them. I like this one so much that I wrote this review-something I don't normally do.

Amazing app, supports the wrong Oklahoma football team

This was my favorite crossword app until I opened a new crossword and one of the clues was Oklahoma Athlete, as an Oklahoma State University Student I only support the cowboys. But the answer was S****r, I had to disgustingly type out those dreaded letters in order to complete that crossword. I still shudder at the thought of possibly typing that word again. I'm not sure I can ever use this app again. You may feel this is childish or immature, but that only means you clearly have never felt love. I only continue to play in hopes that I can type the letters Cowboy in response to a question relating to Oklahoma State. One day I will see this and when that day comes I will give this app 5 stars, until then they remain sub par. While the apps features are amazing and simple to use, it's options to players seeming nearly endless and the app is amazingly easy to put down and pick up whenever you like; meaning this app deserves 6 stars, I am unable to do that due to the pain I currently feel from being betrayed. I hope you eventually see the error of your ways, but until then I am unable to respect you.

This was my favorite crossword app until I opened a new crossword and one of the clues was Oklahoma Athlete, as an Oklahoma State University Student I only support the cowboys. Crossword is a wonderful puzzle app that stimulates the mind with a variety of authors and levels of difficulty. Having tried other apps in both the iPhone and Kindle environments, I can attest to the ease of use, ease of moving from clue to clue, use of auditory and visual alerts to erroneous letters and the satisfying sounds and visuals that occur on successive conclusion. The layout is not showy which is an advantage and the clues typify the level at which I have played. Having enjoyed the puzzles of a number of different authors, I can say that a few of them construct puzzles, the clues of which resonate to my manner of solving puzzles better than other authors. I found this to be true regardless of level. I am a PhD in Psychology and offer this discovery as a suggestion for you to find authors from whom you find clues that lead to your success at puzzle solving because there must be a correlation between how various choose clues and how various players solve puzzles. This would even Len itself to a great piece of research by a grad student some day !!!
