CTBIDS grew from an idea over 10 years ago by Caring Transitions owners across the country. These owners are carefully managing the treasures and everyday household items for their clients as they downsize or transition to new homes. These items have quality, value, and a history that are a perfect fit for someone else. Our mission was to create a platform where these estate sales are brought to you online. Instead of set pricing, bidding starts at $1. This process allows our bidders to find unique and everyday treasures for a great value. new app needs some fine-tuning
Pro: It’s nice to have a dedicated app for the phone. You can mark favorites and much more.
Cons: There are auctions using CTBids that appear on the big estate sale website (not sure if I can use the name in this review) that don’t appear in the CTBids app. The “regionalization” feature (where you’re forced to choose a region to see results) seems to exclude auctions.
Additionally, if you’re looking at an item in an auction, and that item is in the middle of 120 other items, tapping the back arrow brings you back to the very top of all available items. You have to scroll aaaaaaallll the way down to get back to where you left off.
I think this can become a useful app once it’s had more time to mature, but for now I’m sticking to using a web browser to access the site.
Horrible
After the April 1st 2024 update I have experienced so many issues. Constantly missing data or just completely frozen screens. I have to delete the app and reinstall it every time. Sometimes this happens in the middle of the final auction moments.
Customer support gives advice that the actual local field managers denies is true. Also experienced trying to communicate about issues through customer support but the local people have denied receiving the information about any request from me. And after spending thousands of dollars on these auctions I receive notices that they will suspend my account.
Pretty disgusted!

Not listening to reviews
It would be nice if the developers actually read the reviews and used that info to improve the app. There was an update 2 days ago, and what users complain about most, and have for MONTHS, was not addressed.
You say your app is user friendly, but when you click back after looking at an item, it takes you back to the top of the search. You’ve lost your spot. This is something that should have been fixed a long time ago, and never has been addressed. Why?
