Cub Grocery & Liquor ١٢+

Every year or two I attempt to use this app for shopping, more recently to create an order for pickup. Every time I’ve found something wrong with the app that makes it difficult to use, delete the app out of frustration, and revert back to other stores and delivery services for my groceries.

This time around I come to find that someone else’s member ID is associated to my online account. They also appear to be an employee, as I am greeted with a message to that effect when I attempt to edit my profile. I created a ticket to get the data corrected, and will once again delete the app after getting the data mess cleaned up. (In the time I wasted trying to fix the error, I could have placed an order with a delivery service elsewhere and worked enough to have paid the difference in the cost.)

If you really like the store, my advice is to go there in person and avoid using the app. Maybe in a few years they will have fixed the app enough to have earned something beyond 1.5 for a rating.

This app is simply unusable. Not the least bit intuitive; it shuts down nearly every time I try to use it. There appears to be no menu that allows for customization , and certainly no “help” feature. It is impossible to create a shopping list, whereas with the old version, it was a snap. I have to wonder what the powers that be were thinking when they did this. It has been said that the worst reason to keep doing something is that you have always done it that way. The bottom line is, why change what was working just fine? This is certainly not an upgrade.

Addition to this review: It is IMPOSSIBLE to create a shopping list. The app asks if I want to pick up, or have delivery. I want neither. I simply want the ability to create my own list for my own use. Even after I have chosen my store, and gotten to the screen that acknowledges my choice, it will NOT allow me to create a list. Why in the world would anyone think this is better than the previous version?

There is no tutorial for using this app, probably because it is impossible to use and therefore impossible to write a tutorial. If it were possible to give this thing negative stars, I would. Since it’s digital, it isn’t even possible to crumple up snd use as a fire starter.

If the developer is reading any of these reviews, stand up and give some explanation for this garbage.

Please don’t use this AP, it’s not user friendly. I have tried several different times with some hope,nope it don’t work.
I am finally deleting. Today I talked to 3 different employees to get help so I could use the coupon. They were not able to help either. ( Cub a pro-tip educate your employees on the use of the App) to this point I have given up on it. It’s not worthy of the effort or time. The search function doesn’t bring in let’s say Lean Cuisine even though it’s on sale . The customer
service ended up doing an override today because the store manager couldn’t figure out the App .
