About as streamlined and easy as can be, Currency’s great when we’re traveling. We can do conversions in seconds, it works offline, and it even shows exchange rates for the past six months so we can see the trend line. It’s just the tool we need, whenever we need it.

This has been the best currency converter app I have used. The app is simple yet beautiful, and the conversion is quick.In the basic version of the app, you can select five currencies to show on the home screen at once. If you upgrade for $2.99, you can track unlimited currencies and use the calculator pad. All in all, a pleasant no-hassle experience.

Good and simple converter BUT

This app was the way-to-go in currency converter. Shared it with friends and family, colleagues and people that needed a fast currency conversion. Last update changed a lot of things. Only one thing was good: See the rate of your local currency faster. The bad? • Trying to get conversions between currencies that are not your local needs a lot of steps (before was 2 taps) • Paywalls for everything that before was free: -Cannot have more than 5 favourite currencies unless paid (before $2,99; any currency) -Cannot add another “local” currency unless paid (Not an option before, not needed) Unfortunate to lose another excellent app to the usual “subscription” plan that a lot of awful apps use. One-time payment also is extremelly expensive. I understand you need to obtain profits, but even if $5 a year sounds cheap, you get almost nothing for that “pro” badge. Thanks for the last 6 years using this app.

Hey, thanks for the feedback! On the latest version of Currency you can tap on any currency to convert between that one and your home currency. If you need to make a quick conversion between other currencies you can either enter the value and close the keyboard or you can swipe left on the cell to make it your home currency.At the moment you get features like calculator, more frequent updates, unlimited currencies and more graphs but we're planning to add much more to this over the coming months. Currently the Lifetime plan costs less than a couple of cups of coffee and helps to support development!

Generic new look ruined one of my favourite apps

Update: The developer replied and they will offer the previous look and feel as an option. Glad to hear this. I’ve upgraded my score to 4 stars and will make it 5 when the feature is actually released. I’ll be subbing for a month to see how it goes. Thanks for the response!This used to be one of my favourite looking apps. Now it has abandoned it’s original and minimal design for a generic one that makes it look just like every other currency app out there. They tore everything down, the pleasant colour scheme, the beautiful font and the unique UI. I would like to have the old look at least as an option. Would happily subscribe just for that. For now, I’ll be moving on to another app.

We're taking all feedback onboard to keep improving Currency and we're already implementing a 'classic' theme for users who have been by our side since the beginning.We currently have a huge roadmap planned with lots of features and improvements (some of which are offered by no other app). In order to do this we've started offering a subscription for those who would like to support us in an ongoing basis but we've kept a lifetime purchase option for those who'd like to pay once for our premium feature - we've kept the cost of this at less than a couple of cups of coffee!
