Daikin One Home Mobile App allows homeowners to remotely monitor and control their Daikin heating and cooling systems. Main features include:

1. Easy to use monitor and control different locations and Daikin One smart thermostats at each location
2. Easy to edit schedule for Daikin One smart thermostat
3. Easy to set Adjustment mode or away mode
4. Current weather and forecast for each location is displayed
5. Receive thermostat reminders and alerts

Compatible with all Daikin One smart thermostats.

Some functionalities, like the indoor air quality history screens, within the application require a Daikin One Home Air Monitor to access.

This version includes the new settings menu structure also included in the Daikin One+ v2.7 thermostat software update, and adds the ability to delete Open API keys. It also includes minor bug fixes and other improvements.

App is only ok, when it can connect to Daikin server

It’s nice to be able to remotely adjust your home’s heating and cooling when you’re away, or just in a different room. We love the Daikin heat pump we recently purchased, but the smart thermostat installed with it loses its connection to Daikin One every time we have a power outage - which is pretty often in the winter. Even when the smart thermostat recognizes it is connected to our wifi we’ve been unable to get it re-connected to Daikin One. After 2 months waiting for service, the sales and installation agent fixed it finally (he had a setup app for agent use only) - but then it disconnected again during the next power outage and we’re back to square one.

Despite being initially excited about having a smart thermostat, I’ve come to hate this app because its UI isn’t intuitive or very intelligent - and no one should need to make a service call just to get the mobile app and the smart thermostat to talk to each other again after the power comes back online. Yes, we have tried deleting and reinstalling the app. We have tried everything we can think of - and we’re a pretty tech savvy household. Daikin, please improve your IoT technology! In the meanwhile, for us... another service call. :-(

Frustrating user interface

I have trouble setting a schedule with the app. When I wake up, I want the temperature to be X and when I sleep I want it to be Y. It seems I can only set a temperature range in the schedule. Also, the app recently updated to allow users to do simple up and down clicks to adjust the temperature - finally! However, why are the up down buttons so tiny and all the way at the top right and bottom right of the screen? Those are the main buttons I use - put them in the center? My last complaint is about the actual thermostat wall unit - the circle dial you’re supposed to use to adjust the temperature is absolutely terrible. It doesn’t react as you would expect when you twist it - sometimes it’s slow and then all of a sudden it will jump 3-4 degrees. It’s difficult to get the exact temp you want. Recently, they updated the wall unit to have the same up down buttons which makes the GIANT circle dial now obsolete for me. Overall, I get frustrated with this app and am considering replacing it with a competitor.

This app is awful. It freezes and displays no information about the thermostat more often than it’s ever functional. The wall panel is just as bad, with a dial that randomly decides if it’s going to adjust one degree, five degrees, or not at all. Plus the touch display is either too small for anyone but a small child to operate precisely or it’s comically large and difficult to navigate. So you’re stuck using this awful app that you have to constantly close, log into again, reconnect your Wi-Fi. It’s an enormous pain when I just want to adjust the temperature in my house! Thankfully my installer has a guarantee and I am having my Daikin system replaced with a better brand. The system is NOT efficient as advertised - barely any change in electricity usage and double the gas usage of my old system that was 20+ years old - and that’s keeping temperatures in uncomfortable ranges to attempt to keep my bills reasonable. It’s a failure on every level, and with Daikin systems being more expensive and forcing you to use their horrendous thermostats, I’d advise anyone thinking of buying this brand to consider other options.
