I have used this twice (the free version and now the full). I have been working out six days a week for five months and decided to add this for additional leg work to my strength days. I am surprised (and excited!) at how sore my legs are! Great variety of exercises. I purchased the full version for the random workout option as I figured variety in the exercises and order of them would give me the most results.
I am going on a mini vacation in a couple weeks and will be getting the arms and abs apps before I go so I can workout in my hotel room. If the other apps are equally effective I will be getting a great vacation workout.
I recommend if you are looking for a challenge. I could not finish the 10-minute workout...again mortified because I thought I was in better shape but also excited because I know I will be soon! I love the video demonstrations along with the text instructions. Two thumbs up.
The workouts are clear, no frills and effective. Because they are so no-frill, you don't get tired of them and there is nothing annoying about them. You can also create three different workouts with your own selections or just use their three existing workouts and choose how long you want to do each exercise - 30, 45 or 60 seconds. I do about three different workouts for different areas after my cardio. Terrific especially for when you're traveling or have five or ten minutes here or there.
Simple, effective, needs "rep" sounds
I use this app, and others from the same developer, semi-regularly for some structured toning. I assume when the girl does the movement you are supposed to mimic the timing, but I can't always place my phone where I can see it and comfortably complete the exercise, so I wish there was a little click or ding for each rep. Obviously it should be optional for people who don't want it, switching on and off in settings.
The app itself is not particularly fancy, just structure and nice options for quick 5, 7.5 and 10 min workouts (and 2-3 different "series" of the workouts so you can alternate day to day). As others have mentioned there are no 20 or 30 minute workouts, but you could do one 10 minute workout followed by another.
