I’ve tried many other devotion apps but this one seemed to be the only one I’ve kept up with for quite some time now- like years.
The writing has depth and the content is always fresh, thought provoking, and practical for life application.
I kind of wished though that the app allowed us more bible version options rather than just providing us with the King James Version (nothing wrong with it, I just prefer other versions)
Great devotional. But...
All in all this is a very good devotional that is a blessing to read. You can tell that the author really puts prayer and thought into what he is writing. However, the one thing I have noticed as of recent is hints of Calvinism creeping in. As a pastor I would love to be able to recommend this app to our members, but I cannot allow them to read what I believe based on the Word of God to be, doctrinal error. Please do not take this as I am am trying to be critical, I just wished that Calvinism were not gaining such a foothold in our churches within the past 10 years. Thank u for your work brother & please forgive me if I have offended u in any way.
Attacking people is not Godly
The first devotion I read was shocked at the personal attack the author wrote to people who have had a parent in a nursing home to say that it’s a choice done for convenience and financial reasons is casting judgment when you do not know the situation or circumstances from personal experience this was not what my family wanted but often lack of resources and severity of illness are the reasons which if there were other options of course we would want it to be different. Until you walk in another person’s shoes you have no right to cast such harsh judgment when you are not God. It’s ppl like you the reasons why many drop out of church it’s really appalling what was said and I immediately uninstalled this app for those reasons:(
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
