Wonderful and convenient

I have been using this app for 4 1/2 years to share pictures and videos of my daughter with our family. The grandparents who aren’t in social media love it!

Precious memories lost!!

I have been using this app for well over three years now. It came highly recommended to me when I had my daughter three years ago and I had begun using it and uploading photos and sharing it with family. I had well over two years of photos and videos on my timeline when one day I login and nothing was there.

Thinking I was crazy I reach out the family and friends to confirm that indeed photos I had posted suddenly went missing.

I submitted a support ticket to Daily Kiddo and after several conversations come to discover that they only have one support person; Marlene.

Marlene informed me that Daily Kiddo has no back-up system in place. Yes you are reading this correctly, a photo timeline service like Daily Kiddo has no backup system in place. Only if we could passed since I had reported the issue and they were still unable to restore. I can see this being a problem if it has been months or years but you’re telling me you don’t store seven days worth of backup?!?!

It seems crazy to me that a company that is offering to handle such precious memories like those photos of your kids has no active back up program or process in place. Even competitor apps like 23snaps and Tinybeans have AWS and Azure services that would allow them to restore lost photos and videos if needed.

Don’t make the same mistake I made, don’t use Daiky Kiddo.

Great app, no Live photos

The app is awesome, almost everything you could want for sharing photos of your kids with your family and friends. But there are two things that made me choose something else:
1. It doesn't support live photos. With photos of your kids, that's half the fun of looking at photos (if you have a phone that takes live photos)!
2. There's a "share with large group" link that seems to be permanent, which means if anybody accidentally shares the link publicly (or someone guesses it), everyone in the world now has access to photos of your kids forever... (Unless you delete the album and start a new one). I wish that feature could be disabled. Or the link could be manually expired.
